You are wrong. Democrats wage the war on science. If you still believe in
anthropogenic global warming, then you are following your leftist political
bias and ignoring the clear evidence that AGW is a myth. The real science
shows that CO2 is not a pollutant, and the consensus of actual scientists
agree. Just look at climategate: the so called ‘scientists’ who believe in
AGW fudge the data to support their political agenda. That’s the real war
on science. Another issue is the denial of biology, which clearly shows
that an unborn baby is not part of the mother, but a separate individual
human life with its own DNA unique to him or her from the moment of

I just looked through the comments. And I saw some people are having a
“debate” about science. All words I have are just these. Whether you love
or you hate science. It is always and always there and it stops when
everyone stops thinking. So it will never stop and everyone has to obey
science even if they are too stupid to think they have a choice in this. It
doesn’t matter if you believe in gravity or not, gravity keeps you alive
and shapes your body. You can’t “like” gravity, you “need” it. Science is a
need. If people are still at their early stages of evolution, it will be
harder for them to get these things though.

How hard is this to understand? THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT THE PROVIDER OF
SCIENCE. Of course Einstein know his theory of relativity would lead to new
technologies, as ALL SCIENCE DOES. Why do you think the government is the
only source of funds? In the free market, the ideas worth most at the time
are funded, and after Einstein recorded his ideas, the free market
eventually developed uses for them, while before his ideas were worthless
because the technology for things like GPS was not there. Scientists do not
need the government to get funding, investors fund scientists to create
useful technologies, and new, innovative ideas that could be used in the
future, just like Einstein’s were. The only difference between investor
funding and government funding is that one is taken by force from the
people and not spent efficiently, while the other is invested willingly and

This is powerful, but we must remember that even though discovery and
innovation are very important, they must be aimed toward a useful outcome.
Research on how to remove salt from salt water efficiently is more
important than research on supernovas. Remember that science includes many
facets, some assist mankind’s survival, some do not. There are many who
will never see or benefit from the good that can come from useful research,
and it is our job to keep that number as low as we possibly can.

Babies are being chopped up and sold by the 100,000s, Obama is drone
striking children in the middle east (still) and you all take the time to
put some overly dramatic music to a power point about government funding of
    scientific research.

    Bravo for your priorities. 👏👏👏

  13. Simeon Murphy says:

While i agree with just about everything said in this video I also worry
about the flip side of the coin, the (for lack of a better word) cult of
science. Blind fanaticism goes both ways and we have to be careful not to
just accept what we are told but to verify (for example by reading the
scope, error bars, etc… of a study) what we hear, and try to understand
for ourselves instead of just saying “_*_____* is right and you are wrong
because SCIENCE!” Science can not do anything, people can, and people do
some pretty horrible things, The Tuskegee Syphilis experiment for example.
I think a better way to put this video would be in support of education not
necessarily science (science obviously is included as part of this), after
all medieval history is pretty damn important and I have my doubts about
    how much funding that gets.
