Romero should just wind mill punches for the whole round. He couldn’t lose.

Thank god I didn’t buy this on Ppv and seen the highlights on YouTube

Luckily the women saved the card.
They deserve a double bonus…and jj should get a rematch if able.

Once again…yoel lost because he forgot how to wrestle.
He could have won this…his inactivity lost it for him.

Maybe his age has gotten to him. Idk.
He seemed like he couldnt set up anything for himself…and once again…forgot his wrassling.

    Gg

Izzy said he would beat Romero “Properly”, he did get the W but I wouldn’t call that a proper whipping.

    • J R says:

@Jsljr I think beating him at most aspects of the fight more hits to the head and body. Better wrestling or grappling , not just leg kicks and tack down defenses. And not a points fight.

    • OG Original Grandma says:

Such a wanker. Can’t stand that dude and apparently the crowd can’t either

    • TheUnstopableTrio says:

@Owl FX Romero landed a good number of punches to the face, along with his own leg kicks and takedown attempts

Literally all Izzy did was throw leg kicks

    • TheUnstopableTrio says:

Izzy may have won on points (somehow) but we all know who went back stage and dunked their face in an ice bath

    • Jsljr says:

      @J R It wasn’t a good fight at all

You know there is something wrong when the post fight highlights are a bunch of leg kicks

  8. Brian Clark says:

an Olympic silver medalist going for 3 whole takedowns against a guy that we expect would be a turtle once you get him down. makes sense.

He doesn’t want no parts of Jones ….

    • Gamer Singer says:

      GunnSmith
Of course not. He hasn’t done anything even remotely to prove he deserves such a fight in the first place. I really don’t see Izzy’s reign to last very long at this rate. Just one fresh young fighter is all it takes to put a guy like Israel away.

    • Tyrone Thompson says:

Gamer Singer what’d you think of his fight with gastelum ?

    • Gamer Singer says:

      @Tyrone Thompson
Just made Israel look all the more human and beatable. I don’t see any of what Anderson Silva used to be in him in any case.

    • Tr ae says:

Nope.. Jones will eat this dumb ass alive. Love Bones, my favorite fighter and the GOAT.

  13. Berto A says:

  14. Potterz907 says:

Thankful I didn’t pay to see that

  15. Richard Phi says:

The thing people need to realize is that both of these guys are very technical/counter fighters. While they both tried to attack, both of them were equally defensive. Romero knew the only way he would win is if he could close the distance with Israel but he didn’t expect for his right leg to take a toll. By the 4th round, it was clear that Romero had no options to do a take down, or to use all his weight in his punches due to losing stability in his right leg. This led to Romero not doing much. Ultimately Romero shouldn’t of danced so much on the stage in the first place. If he wanted a straight forward fight, he should’ve done that starting off. As a challenger going against a champion, you gotta be hungry from start to finish, not sitting there and playing mind games for 5 rounds then crying about it after. That shows how much of a hypocrite Romero was after the fight for talking non sense. Ultimately if it was another 5 rounds, Israel would’ve finished him. End of the day, Romero has alot more power behind his fists, and can be very unpredictable which is why Israel took it slow and steady. To fight a monster, you have to break the monster down first before you go for the kill otherwise your lights could go out at any moment.

Agree but what sucks is that people will come to your comment saying that you are wrong. But yeah you cant always try to make the fight how you want it to be
