– I’m sorry, I’m not available to do lines for videos anymore; I’ve gotten really busy 🙁
– I am NOT looking for animation or video help! I appreciate your kindness. I’m not in a place where I need to hire people, not even for free.

Who voiced the ew ew we yucky kid
As I got older, I realized what periods were. It’s like getting a nosebleed. Except you don’t get it in your nose…
a kid in middle school referred to his bloody noses as,, “face periods” openly during class.
you dont understand how hard i wanted to laugh each time he would get up and announce he has a “face period”

Hello OwO
OwO
and you get i every month
I feel you!! I got my first period a month after my sister, She was 13 years old, and I was 9. I had significantly worse cramps from her, ending up in the hospital a few times due to how abnormally painful they were. Despite that, they ruled out nothing was wrong with my body even after that, but I found out now as an adult that I have Endometriosis, which causes my abnormally painful periods.
I know I’m not qualified to say this because I’m a guy but I almost feel your pain.
I’m 42 and married with 2 kids, and I just learned more about menstrual cycles from this one video than I knew my whole life.
Thanks for the education.
@Andrew exactly
The American education system, everybody…
I went on the pill just after I turned 16 as I was struggling with overactive periods that ended up causing me to become anaemic. To see somebody who had a similar experience is so liberating as I never knew anyone my age who was on the pill. Thank you for the wonderful video!
I got put on the pill due to anemia at 16 too. I didn’t do the stop for a week thing though I just take them every day because there’s really no point to having a period.
As I got older, I realized what periods were. It’s like getting a nosebleed. Except you don’t get it in your nose…
Some people getting earlier periods is exactly why it should be taught in school as early as 4th grade. We should also normalize them. It’s so annoying that no one can talk about it without worrying about kids (normally boys) making jokes about it. Like you said, it’s natural, everyone should be taught that.
@єгzค รєภקคเ Well, somebody has to be the first.
@KityCatRG gaming A Girl Scout is always prepared!
Oof yeah, I remember getting mine when I was 11. I was in either 4th or 5th grade, don’t remember. But I remember telling some of my close friends I had gotten it and their reactions were, “Ew, TMI”. So I was literally the only one of my friends that had gotten it early.
I was in 4th grade the first time I got mine. We hadn’t even had sex ed yet the first time I had it, and my mother refused to explain the pads, blood in the toilet (when she would take me when I was younger), her calendar, any of it. My grandmother had to pick me up from elementary school in bloody clothes and do the whole spiel.
My girls are 10 and 7 now. Both of them know the ENTIRE drill, and my 10-year-old has an emergency pack in her backpack with pads, disposable underwear, deodorant, body spray, and secret Advil. She hasn’t started yet, but if she or one of her friends does, my daughter is prepared. I didn’t leave it to the school to get them ready.
@Lonely Simp yeah, he kinda tries to point out it’s not ok. You are right about it being not distracting, and it’s also the reason he wrote that comment, even if it wasn’t that obvious…
This was really timely for me, I’ve had trouble with my periods for years and have a family history of ovarian cysts, and have just begun seeking ways to live comfortably. I can’t count how many times I’ve wished to just not have a period. Definitely gonna look into that arm implant.
I got a big chuckle about the HUGE list of instructions, side effects and warnings that comes with the pills, it’s the same with the patch
Also, I am SO GLAD I cancelled my IUD, like I said I had the patch before and wanted my tubes tied but apparently my area is very “taboo” with that so my gyneco was like: only if you wear the IUD for 5 years so I was like: OKAY
they made it sound like a dream just like how they explained in the video, but didnt give me a brochure, didnt explain the procedures OR the side effects… so I decided to do my own research, the side effects were basically things I was fighting with after getting off the patch (weight gain, acne, violent cramps) BUT I also learned online and from my sister (because it happened to her) that the IUD can PERFORATE the uterus and get lost in the abdomen, which you have to go through surgery to remove but thats extremely rare
Plus it can also perforate other organs and COULD be fatal which again, IS SUPER RARE
So I called my doctor and I went NOPE and I’m back on the patch XD
Heres another perspective for IUDs if anyone’s curious (this is just my experience and no ill will towards Illy for going a different route). I didn’t want the pill as I didnt want the daily commitment and strict routine, I wanted something longterm that I could largely forget about. For me the pain was about equal or a little more so then my worst period pain and it last a few days, but my period has almost completely disappeared (I just have very very light bleeding only visble on the toilet paper every so often and all the pain associated with it has disappeared. I would definantly do it again despite the pain if I have to
