The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift from super strength to the power to heal—every child except one, Mirabel (voice of Stephanie Beatriz). I just love how throughout this song she’s protective of Mirabel, like how she fixes her glasses its just a small but cute lovable gesture 🥺

Finally seeing the full scene… I can understand everyone’s obsession with Luisa.

Honestly I have multiple favorite things in this sequence. One is the details in the dresses. At 0:22, when Luisa looks behind her, look at her shirt! You can SEE the lines in the fabric! Another is the realistic flowy-ness of the dress. It doesn’t stop when Luisa stops turning, it keeps going. And the slight breeze that makes her skirt rustle at 1:00! Bc despite this all being… I don’t want to say not real because, you know, movie. But all this is still happening outside, so there WOULD be a breeze.

But I think my FAVORITE thing is the growing horror on Mirabel’s face as the song goes on when she realizes how much everybody puts on Luisa. at 2:35, that LOOK on her face when she glances at the stones and then back to Luisa when they were JUST floating about happily… And again st 2:42!

Honestly glad to hear someone else in awe of the fabric animation and clothing design of this film. It’s the main thing I’ve ranted about to people. Disney in the film have done some freaking amazing work and I can’t get over how realistic the fabric movements are!

      Wow 👌 👏 😍 👍 🥰 ☺

She was such a good older sister character, like all the ways she snapped and then was like “I’m so sorry it just slipped out.” or fixing Mirabel’s glasses, or pushing her out of danger–loved it

  4. Elsa J says:

When my 5 year old told me that Luisa reminded her of me, it gave me a feeling of validation and that she feels protected by me. The fact that she can see that touched my heart 💜

  5. Jake Nguyen says:

Mirabel’s gift is to turn people’s inner thoughts and emotions into fully choreographed music videos

  6. Princess Rose says:

Didn’t expect for this song to be such a bop and the fact that it has such a relatable message….. the soundtrack is way too good… ❤️❤️

  7. Bloodwing says:

“I’m pretty sure I’m worthless if I can’t be of service.” “Give it to your sister it doesn’t hurt, see if she can handle every family burden.” “Give it to your sister and never wonder, if the same pressure would’ve pulled you under.”
As an older sister of 4 who has been babysitting since I was 9 or 10 and has had some difficult conversations with my parents, I relate to these lines a bit too much.

      Same!
I see this is the corner for older siblings to find their people XD

Sending everyone love, from older sister to other older siblings!!! I love you guys and understand the pressure <3
Keep going everyone, and I hope you'll get the rest you deserve <3

I started taking care of my sister at 7 and my father passed away when I was a pre-teen, when I was 16 I had to start taking teraphy and my terapist suggested I should ask my Mom to apologize to me for burding me at such a young age I wasn’t sure but I did, my Mom was surprisingly understanding and she did apologize to me. That saved our relationship and give me some sort of closure about my hideous childhood. I hope everything turns out good for you. ❣️

    • Yazzy A says:

      Same 😓
Being the oldest is a lot of pressure sometimes, but remember to not be too hard on yourself. Take a break, you deserve it.

    • Alicia says:

Same. I took over guardianship of my sister when I was 18. Years of therapy and I still feel this way sometimes.

    • Ksid Kloulechad says:

Same😩 I’m very hard on myself abd my dad was like, you’re too hard on yourself.. I’m like bro, I wonder why😆

  8. Electra FabCap says:

Honestly, Disney should insert sibling relationships in their movies more often. This resonates with a lot of older siblings who always have to be the most responsible for the sake of their family, but at the same time with younger siblings trying to find their place in the world. It’s a very strong message for kids and adults at the same time.

  9. Bribe says:

The song track is so amazing. I love the variety and how the tempos change while also focusing on the characters struggles and stories. Can’t wait to watch the movie.

  10. SmilingFlowerTV says:

This song is so amazing and different. The arrangement and style is very different from the music in Disney’s animation. I think in this century girls always need to be strong and don’t need to wait for a prince.
