BLONDE | Official Teaser | Netflix
Ana de Armas is Marilyn Monroe in Blonde, only on Netflix 9/23. From director Andrew Dominik, and based on the bestselling novel by Joyce Carol Oates, Blonde boldly reimagines the complicated life of icon Marilyn Monroe. Blurring the lines of fact and fiction, the film artfully explores the tension between her public and private life.

This will be the first big award-winning/nominated role for Ana. She’s a wonderful actress and I believe she’ll knock it out of the park.
@Jake Alhalabi yeah but that was like decades ago, a bit too long for a track record. Nowadays you don’t see any NC17 being nominated and even win an Oscar
I could see it. She is an amazing actress. I hate literally everything about Blade Runner 2049 but Ana’s performance she was the only good thing in that film and I guarantee she’ll put in something spectacular
knock knock it out of the park? 😏
@darenotdevil well that’s your opinion dude, Kristen’s performance was wildly praised for everything she had in playing Diana including the accent. Her accent is fine
nearly all true but def dis dont seem to be the one. yikes. the last of netflixes folly cash?
That ending scene in the trailer is perfect. That crying and hurted soul covered by her most famous mask, Marilyn’s iconic smile.
Marilyn was not a Spaniard.
True
@Front And center not when she is smiling
Yes the mask she wore everyday sadly
👍👍👍
Wow. The trailer alone told a story without spoiling the film itself. Her hoping she can drop into the Monroe persona, and the ending with the reflection laughing while her body remains still, showing us what her mind has managed to reach that place, and even then the laugh being tinged with sadness.
I wasn’t that interested before but either there’s an absolutely incredible trailer editor who needs a raise or this movie actually has some stuff to say and knows how to say it.
spoiler alert: she’s exploited in this film yet again and hollywood never lets anything truly die …let the fkin woman rest in peace
This is the comment I came for.
its called a teaser for a reason ha
What do you mean none of that happened?Whom do you think she was begging to come? Definitely to the Marilyn persona.
omg truth be told im stunned! i have to say i wasnt expecting such a performance from Ana De armas from this teaser alone you can tell she is brilliant and now i can’t wait to watch her in this role! the movie looks phenomenal!
Caracterização perfeita. A Ana de Armas foi uma escolha muito boa para o filme.
Just watching this made me tear up. Marilyn was such a misunderstood strong woman. Can’t wait to hear her story. I couldn’t imagine the waves she would make if she was young and alive now instead of then.
@the green one because biographies totally written by her closest allies, family members and friends and not some ”expert” because they read biographies from prior lol
You wouldn’t say that if she was with your man lol. And pill popping. Just stop. She isn’t an icon. She was an example of what not to be.
Gracias por escoger a Ana de Armas para interpretarla, ojalá ella tenga el reconocimiento que se merece. ❤
De nada.
I feel like this is the type of movie that deserves a theater release and an Oscar nod. I mean come on! It’s Marilyn Monroe! She’s an iconic figure!
it’s not gonna happen. the film is rated NC-17
The academy now accept streaming platforms for the Oscars. Coda just won best picture and it’s an Apple TV movie.
Wow! This looks incredible I can’t wait for this as a huge Marilyn fan myself! This really has been her year😍 (besides her dress being stolen)💕💕
i would not want to watch this, if i were a marilyn fan. this isn’t a biopic. it’s from a fictional book that just happened to have marilyn as the main character
I’m really glad we finally got a look at this. Blonde is definitely one of my most anticipated movies of the year
