I’m so excited, I hope Mr. Pierce reconsiders, and at least guest stars from time to time.

You know what? I had serious doubts about the continuation of this TV show, especially because Frasier was/is one of my favorite all-time TV shows, and even more so with most everyone turning down the chance to reprise their roles/characters, but after seeing this trailer, I’ve really changed my mind about it. I really hope the show/episodes turn out like the trailer because it actually looks really good. Kelsey Grammer really slipped right back into the character of Frasier Crane quite nicely, and it truly, and authentically, feels like Frasier, but just with a new cast/setting. Keeping my fingers crossed…🤞

And you got some returning guest stars from the original series. And I know that Jane Leeves and David Hyde Pierce won’t be there, but who’s to stop them from making guest appearances in the future now that Daphne and Niles’ son David is one of the main characters.

    • Aaron Perkins says:

      Same here!

    • Gabe Logan says:

No way will it’ll be good as the spinoff but I think it’ll be enjoyable enough to get a second season

    • Kim Brookins says:

My thoughts exactly!! Keeping my fingers crossed too!

    • Mike Vogler says:

@Wes Huntington Yeah, I’m hoping for a little pop in from those 2. After reading that their son/character is on the show, I’m hoping they eventually will. I have to say though, if David Hyde Pierce does change his mind about coming.back, even if just for a one-off episode, it would really surprise me, given how against returning, in any capacity, that he’s stated since talk of the reboot/continuation came up.

So far so good with what I see in this trailer, and the next chapter of Dr. Crane’s life brings him full circle with a new tense father son dynamic with his own kid Freddy! Can’t wait!

    • TheBlackDragonKnight says:

I feel like the trailer opening with Fraiser at a bar is a slight nod to Cheers maybe could be wrong through

  4. Laura Owens says:

The best episode of this show is going to be when Lilith comes back. Calling it now.

I think people underestimate how important the supporting cast of the classic “Frasier” was. Grammer had sparring partners who could meet him on eye level, and they portrayed very unique, distinctive characters. So far I don’t get that from this trailer, the characters seemed a little bit too bland, too “normal” to me. Roz, Niles, Daphne and Martin as characters jumped right out of the screen and left you wanting more to just see these characters interact with Frasier, how they tickle him. That is one very important aspect of the “secret sauce” that was “Frasier’s” success.

What Frasier as a character to work needs, is someone who makes him jump out of the bedroom in his robe, asking: “Oh, I’m sorry, was I snippy? I didn’t realize it was too much to ask that there not be GUNPLAY IN MY LIVING ROOM!!!!”

I couldn’t agree with you more! You will never ever top the original, so why try?! RIP John Mahoney!

    • Rick Koeppen says:

The originals MUST make at the very least guest appearances if not recurring roles. I am a little surprised a Fraiser reboot would even have been considered with “just” Fraiser, though admittedly I haven’t been keeping up with it so maybe things changed over time.

    • das 1988 says:

@Rick Koeppena few are making guest appearances.

    • ChiWhite says:

The original Frazier didn’t have a good trailer. You definitely couldn’t tell all that from a trailer. I’m excited for a reboot. I miss the character. If it doesn’t work, then it won’t but I love that he’s trying. Give it a chance. Niles, Roz, Martin, they were wonderful. But at the end of the day the show is called FRASIER!

    • R. Rogers says:

@ChiWhiteI agree. And besides, there’s always original Frasier to fall back on and watch anytime anyone wants. It doesn’t change that.
It also doesn’t mean magic can’t happen again out of a fresh crew of supporting characters

  6. Scott Buckley says:

I’m a Big Frasier Fan but I’m going to see this as his third act and not compare it with Cheers nor Frasier 100%. It’s about a Character we all love let’s just pray his third act isn’t the worst act.

    • Elephant Grass says:

The only good comment in the comment section. It was easy to leave Cheers behind. Hopefully we can do it again.

    • Divinity Personified says:

It will be. I’m calling it now. Remember the woke climate we are in. No more will be the normal jokes and situations that made TV hilarious. Now they will have to plan and write to a new generation who will be offended at everything. I can almost guarantee this show will be woke in many areas.

  7. Anna Maria Delgado says:

I like it. I hope there’s also the classic slapstick and crazy situations that the first series had.

  8. L K says:

The pace and setting definitely seem geared towards a Gen Z audience. Hopefully, it hasn’t lost its urbane, olde worlde, charm.

  9. Edward Sanchez Productions says:

I am so happy that Frasier is back

  10. Bchargoistheartist94 says:

I can’t wait to see more exciting adventures of Dr. Frasier Crane in Boston! Welcome back, sir!
