Hey Will. New dad of 6 months here. You will never not be nervous. At all. No matter how many people you talk to, how much you prepare, how much you read, all of it. But the second you hold your kiddo in your arms for the first time it all goes away. You will be tired, and you will be stressed, and constantly feel like you’re not sure what you’re doing, but you figure it out pretty quickly. I know its scary, and your mind is probably racing constantly, but do what you can to remember to stop and breathe. Live in this moment, right now. You have the rest of your life to stress out about the rest. Much love to you and your family.

Came to say the same thing, new dad of 4 months, after the initial sleep deprivation stage, it all becomes surprisingly ok. You just know what to do and it all becomes amazing, I never wanted a child before, and now I can’t imagine ever having that mindset. Congrats to all the new dads/soon to be dads
Also a new dad of 6month old here. One thing I’ll add as well is that alot of people will say being a parent is the hardest job ever, how tough it is..etc. But what they don’t tell you is that it’s made up of really incredible and amazing days, and also some really hard and difficult days. So yes, while it is inherently a hard thing to exist as a new parent, it’s not hard every waking moment like some people make it out to be. It’s an even mix 👍
Man I was nervous to MEET my child 😂 It was an emergency C-section and I didn’t have time to get into the OR with them so I just walked into a room and met my newborn. And then promptly got chastised by the nurses for letting her suck my finger because I have germs 😂
@ttgydddsdIt also gets exponentially easier as they get older and more independent. The moment they start sleeping through the night is absolute bliss

Will, I just want to say that I’ve been following your content for years now and I’m so glad things are going well for you. You’ve gotten me through some really tough times, and I cant tell you how relieved I am that your nervous for your baby. I just found out myself that I’m going to be a father, and I’ve been feeling like such a fuckup for being nervous and scared about that fact. So seeing you being in the same boat, and knowing I’m not alone in these feelings is such a huge weight off my shoulders. Your gonna be a great dad, and thanks for so many years of great content.
