Can’t believe this was mostly made by one person in a single week! Excited to see where new technology takes us!
And since this has no impact on 2D animators like the Rock Paper Scissors video, no one is going to get mad
@Sebbir XD
@Sebbir just wait
dont forget the actors
@Sebbir 🤔
I always love watching these before the breakdowns/behind the scenes.
I know! Im sad I watched the behind the scenes way in advance
Same 🙌
I love watching them right after the crew video!
It has never once occurred to me to do it in that order
Wait, there’s a behind the scenes?
Just unbelievable that you can accomplish that at all, let alone in one week 🤯
There is a tiny bit of oddness with the movements (especially with the face) but overall it looks incredible! Hard to think that this was done with all new tools in only a week! Fantastic work.
You could’ve done it better?
@Javier Escudero Why be that guy lmao
It’s cause they’re ALIENS. Sheeesh.
I mean it took a week. Imagine if he had more time.
@javierescudero7686 you don’t have to be able to do something better to see imperfections. They were just giving constructive criticism
If he pulled this off in a week, imagine if he had a month. This definitely could be a series on their website.
i wish they would do more content without time limitations like that, just full power best of their ability short films every once in awhile like they used to do.
To do this every week with a tight deadline would be pretty stressful for Peter I guess…
@ploopy they do still have other projects they’re working on. Trying something new like this is really cool and insightful, but it can’t come at the cost of other stuff they’re working on.
Though, if this technology keeps getting better (it will) I wouldn’t be surprised if they utilized it more.
@Klamberoni Well then, what are they working on?
To be honest, my initial reaction to the video was negative because I felt it didn’t meet the standard set by Corridor. However, after watching the Behind the Scenes footage, I realize how foolish I was. Peter, you did an amazing job. The VFX were fantastic, despite some minor imperfections considering the tight timeframe of just one week.
Loved the video. Guys keep it up <3
No your initial reaction was definitely spot on.
@Vanya Kapetanovic It’s not like they couldn’t polish it up more. The goal was to create something with one person (plus actors) in one week and considering these constraints this is phenomenal.
@Vanya Kapetanovic this was made in 1 week
@Conqi It’s great all taken into consideration I just commented about quality in general terms. That means in terms of the industry standards. It’s a decent first draft for sure.
@DJ_UNICORN It’s great all taken into consideration I just commented about quality in general terms. That means in terms of the industry standards. It’s a decent first draft for sure.
You guys are always one step ahead. Another exceptional job!!
What? This tool came out weeks ago 🤦♂️
Is it just me, or are these aliens kinda adorable…
They look like coagulated Porta-potty liquid
It’s the big ol eyes.
@Sci3nt0bj3ct 4t Yeah I think so
It’s squish time!
Well, they are supposed to be “children” XD
Just wow. 1 week. 6 minutes of footage and 1 person. You could make a whole movie by yourself in 2 1/2 months or a team of 10-20 people in a week!
That is just insane to think about.
That might be an example of the “9 women can have a baby in a month” fallacy. Working by yourself is hard, working with a team of 10-20 is hard for other reasons.
@deathchimp2 it was to prove a point
The mind of Peter France is something to behold and protect at all costs!
