It just wouldn’t be the start of Christmas season without the Macy’s day parade. It has been a part of my life for three quarters of a century. THANK YOU MACY’S AND ALL THEIR WONDERFUL EMPLOYEES.

Thank you to USA TODAY for providing this live stream! I don’t have a TV and this is my only way of viewing this family tradition! Happy Thanksgiving to all your staff who sacrificed their ‘family time’ to provide this!

We have to remember to support these stores like Macy’s and Barnes and Nobel that actually provide a service in the community in many ways. It’s the idea of having another place to congregate besides home and work.

@Donald Ducko you are 100% correct. Still I’m just here for the sonic balloon and to see some dancing. Under the corporate hammer is some good artwork and hard working people who dont know about the ” greater system “. Use your wisdom and love them brother.

@Donald Ducko the co-owner of Macy’s and his wife gave their seats on the Titanic lifeboats, RESPECT

@Donald Ducko You’re right about Macy’s, but it is wrong and it is business. Just because an act is within legality doesn’t mean that it isn’t wrong.

This parade always takes you back to childhood. I appreciate the few things that have stayed the same.

      Me too William….

    • Stylinsue5 says:

Hahah I find this comment hilarious as there were no children allowed in the parade this year. Shame on NEW YORK

    • Diana Nicole says:

@Stylinsue5 I have watched almost the whole thing and I didn’t even notice that. Your right, shame on NY.

    • Stylinsue5 says:

@Diana Nicole yes. I know a guy that was a balloon handler. He VOLUNTEERS every year. He wanted his 12 year old to be in it and she wants too. He was informed that no kids under 12 would be allowed due to not being jabbed. Look at the Sesame Street float. ZERO kids.

No kids anywhere. What a damn shame as kids are the reason for parades.

They bring back a 90s set up of a parade. I haven’t seen anything like this in over 20 years in my opinion. They came through with Grimace and Hamburglar I haven’t seen that since 1990s which’s was part of McDonald’s from 1970s-1990s. 👀😱 dragon ball z like what ?

  8. Weirdo_named_Shannon says:

First year im not at home watching the parade with my sisters while my mom starts all the cooking. I miss home. Thank you for streaming this and allowing me to keep at least something.

    • Angelica Licari says:

Same- my first Thanksgiving away from home, too far to travel back, missing watching the parade with my sisters while my mom and dad cook. I take some comfort in missing them (I know I only miss them because we love each other so much) but it’s still a heavy feeling.

  9. Hillside Dweller says:

Well done coverage USA Today! It was just like being there in person—very enjoyable. So much better than the obnoxious NBC broadcast.
