Chicago man helps police rescue woman chained up in home in city’s Pullman neighborhood
Antoine Dobine was out walking along 119th and Eggleston when he heard screams coming from a home. “As I get closer: ‘Help!’ Bam, bam bam! I said, ‘Who is that?’ ‘Help!’ That’s when I called police,” Dobine explained. Nate Rodgers reports. Awesome job. Way to go. More people need to be observant 24/7. The police can’t be everywhere. This is what citizens are suppose to do. Just imagine if he had the minds set of not saying anything.
@Willard Bennett then why be afraid to point out the drug dealers standing on the corner Blocks
KING SMALL…EXACTLY!!!
@Emily stevens where did I say it’s only Chicago?
@J B so it’s just chicago??? right. there is a good reason people don’t respect or report to the police.
A man who didn’t get his phone out to film before helping, respect👊🏻🙏🏼
facts
@Bernadette King , Do u think he would turn in the Drug dealers
if he did he would have on record who the person was!!!! sometimes a phone is golden!!!!
He filmed AND called the police which is an indicator that it wasn’t for entertainment purposes. Hats off to this man!
Actually pulling the phone out and filming was the first thing he did, when he heard the screams and decided to approach the building.
Thought, regards and respect with the woman.
I hope she is strong enough to rise above her experience and finds peace for her soul. ♥️♥️♥️
Glad she safe thanks for the man walking🚶by and heard a cry for HELP thank God he was there right place right time hope she have a full recovery they’ll get him 🧱 put him behind the 🧱
Home of PTSD
well put, you should be in PR
That man who called police after hearing the screams is a hero in my book.
and the people next door didn’t hear a thing.
@Terri Pebsworth , calm down chair-borne Ranger. Try this for your palate; A good Samaritan is a person who does good deeds out of compassion and not because of any hope of reward. The term good Samaritan is derived from a parable told by Jesus in the book of Luke in the New Testament.
@Terri Pebsworth the definition of heroism…. Great bravery. I’m guessing you live there, live that pressure of the those citizens? The culture is different yet I’m guessing with your knowledge you are exclusively involved. I’m not so I can’t judge. Just proud people are stepping up.
@Terri Pebsworth thank you…
You have no idea what chicago is turning into
That word is waaaay over used. He’s not a hero. He didn’t run into a burning building risking his own life to save another. What he is is a normal decent human being. Anyone else passing by who also heard that woman yelling for help over the last 5 days, but did nothing to help, is not a normal decent human being. We need to stop raising people to the level of heroism for just doing normal things. Then, maybe more people would behave like normal decent human beings which doesn’t require an act of heroism, like in this case. It took an easy to make single phone call. That’s all.
Vacant for 30 years???? That is just ridiculous. Thank goodness for Antoine Dobine. If every community had men like him in it, the world would be a better place.
So ridiculous
get this guy done XRP so he can lead This community after the death Reset. Reset the ISO 20022 pink migration all banks moving into iso20022 digital assets.
learn or suffer please.
It’s scary what people want to do to women and children. So so sad. Sickening
Okay, so what is the “race” of the man who enslaved this woman? Just askin’…
@Anger Horse just stop while you’re at it. You really don’t want to go there.
Yes.
Thank God for that man. So glad she was rescued. Can you imagine a Home being vacant for 30 years when there’s all these homeless people out there.
Exactly!
@Richard Walker who said all of that?? ONE person mentioned housing the homeless. Relax.
@J, A What is a little box?
@IMP3TIGO these people can’t be realistic can they ? Who would renovate and pair for the homes ? Then pay property taxes etc … so they want a program for homelessness people to get free houses ?
Since she did claim to know her attacker for years, the Authorities have his name . Now to find that disgusting individual and lock him up . And all those Abandoned properties should be checked.
Exactly
Yes, instead of patrolling the streets for petty traffic crime, the cops need to do actual helpful things like check all the abandoned buildings!
Yeah but it doesn’t mean it was an isolated 1 and done incident. He Could have already committed multiple murders, some he knew and some he didn’t.
@TV Viewer 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’m glad a real man happened to walk past that house. Most would walk away not wanting to get involved. Good for this woman he wasn’t like that.
So scary! Poor woman. I hope she is able to heal from this. Can’t trust anyone these days smh. Whoever did this needs to get life with no parole because he will do it again.
