The day the queen passes is inevitable and the monarch has got it all planned out. Operation London Bridge is the not-so-secret plan for the United Kingdom after Queen Elizabeth II dies. Subscribe to The Washington Post on YouTube: https://wapo.st/2QOdcqK

Buckingham Palace has just released the following statement: “The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.” Rest in peace Queen Elizabeth ll.🕊
@Antisocial Hannah ok
@Damar Dawkins she’s repeating the official announcement verbatim. That’s where.
@Damar Dawkins I think the royal family always puts that there. When King George died the statement released was that he died peacefully. Probably puts the country at slighter ease.
No institution, city, monarchy, whatever, should expect to be free from the scrutiny of those who give it their loyalty and support. Not to mention those who don’t. But we are all part of the same fabric of our national society. And that scrutiny by one part of another can be just as effective if it is made with a touch of gentleness, good humor, and understanding. – Queen Elizabeth II
God rest her soul. She was an inspiration and there will never be another like her.
I’m French, not a royalist in any ways but I can definitely recognize how important she was as a figure to the United Kingdom and all the Commonwealth of nations and how her death is seen as a tragic news for our dear neighbors
I know our respective countries have always shared a complicated history but I wanted to express all my sincere condolences to our British allies in honor of a woman whose existence will for sure be graved in the history books. Take care in those difficult times British friends🇫🇷🤍🇬🇧
@dotheyfloat press is told early,plus this was cause she was “ill” at the time of posting
@Rowdy Jr sorry to read about your neighbour. I’m sure they lived a good life.
Thanks imma need it
@sane man 🤣😂🤣❤❤❤
She’s been on the throne for nearly as long as my _grandmother_ has been alive. A Britain without the Queen is too surreal to even conceive of, because she’s all so many of us have even known.
Rest In Peace, and condolences from across the pond. 🇬🇧 🇺🇸
@David Lench This isn’t about you. A lot of people find the Queen an example of hard work, steadfastness and consistency. The crowds gathering in front of Buckingham palace are unspoken statements to disagree with you.
It is not a pond. It’s an ocean.
my grandad vividly remembers the coronation,he recently gave me a 5 shilling he’s had since 1951,it’s from the festival of britain and has george VI on. time passes sadly,as much as i hate to say it her majesty has passed and we will have to get on with it. HM Queen Elizabeth 1926-2022 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
@David Lench I’m
Not saying anyone has to be sad was just expressing my opinion.
For clarification; London Bridge and Tower Bridge (which was shown in the images) are two entirely different bridges. Tower Bridge is the world-famous landmark of London, protectorate of the Crown Jewels in past history, hidden from would-be invaders. London Bridge is small and unassuming but nevertheless the bridge referred to in the protocol covered in this video.
London Bridge isn’t even in London anymore, funnily enough.
Wow this that happened. The queen has fallen. A few minutes ago, Queen Elizabeth II has died. The London Bridge has truly fallen down, I am so shocked about what happened. She was the longest reigning monarch and will stay that way for a long, long time. She was an incredible woman and all of my love goes out to the royal family. RIP you will be truly missed 🕊🕊
@Bob Ster it happens at the golden age of 96, she was sick for a while. Prince Charles, now King opened Parliament in May in his mother absence for the first time. So, she was not well for months. It was a matter of time, but she will be missed.
@Bob Ster Old people do that.
RIP to Lizzy
As a Brit, hearing the news earlier was awful. Ever since I was born, over 50 years before, the Queen has been reigning over our beautiful country. I don’t have much to say except God Save the King.
God save the king 🤴 🙏🏿. Love from a Commonwealth country, PNG🇵🇬🇬🇧
William should be king but thats something for another time
One correction. The report says Charles would “unofficially” become King upon the Queen’s death. That’s wrong. He became King the moment she died. He didn’t have to wait for any ceremony. The Queen was Queen for 70 years, starting the moment her father died, even though her coronation took place the following year. Charles is King now – “officially”.
@Dylan Bannan but she is for Britain, God Bless the Queen
@ds1868 Her Majesties government and Opposition not He’s Majesties government and Opposition a new head of state
@ds1868 I think you find you’re wrong
@rivenoak It’s not making it ‘official’. The Accession Council of the Privy Council is just part of the process whereby the King is already confirmed as Sovereign at the moment of the previous Sovereign’s death. There is not one second of interregnum between the passing of one Sovereign and the accession of the next. King Charles III will be confronted with the red boxes and work when he returns to London on Friday.
@Alex Chapman No the present government continues.
What an incredible woman. We will never have another monarch like her. An honour to have witnessed it.
I took an Oath of Allegiance at 16yrs old, i wrote my will at 17yrs old, i served my Queen for 15yrs of my life as a soldier.
It is a sad day, it is a time to show respect, to some of the comments on here, i say, shame on you, you have no way to grasp what it means to be loyal, may Her Majesty be at peace now with her Phillip. I only take a knee for three reasons and today is one. HM was all about keeping the world calm, without ever being political. So, to the Irish that have commented on here disgustingly horrendous comments…. I walked the streets of N. Ireland, show an ounce of respect, because do you really, really think that we couldnt or cant just… and ill say it RE take Ireland? It was because of HM that never happened, never political, but can whisper into a countrys leaders ear… ” One does not think that ones plans are agreeable ” My Queen, My leader, My Top Dog…. Has died, is gone.
Please i beg of you all, we are in mourning, do not be rude, a family has lost its Mother, Grandmother.
Would you say what you say rudely if the person that died was all you knew since you were born.
I would have easily died for her, it wouldve been an Honour for my familys name… Without hesitation.
What leader of a nation has that?
No one
RIP Your Majesty, Your time is done, go to your Phillip.
Your loyal servant
