What Parts of New York State Look Like After Record Winter Storm | Insider News
All that weight on those structures from ice is dangerous. I have known people’s whole roofs to cave in. From Memphis, TN yall be safe 🙏
Yeah, I wonder if those houses are now full of cracks and weakened from bent or broken wooden beams.
When we opened my garage, it was a wall of snow. The drifts could swallow my husband. It was insane! I am so grateful we kept power and managed to dig out today…
@kenneth eginton I think you wouldn’t want that as it also would be referring to climate change which could make things like this event more frequent/severe.
@kenneth eginton welcome to climate change, every year we will get the worst storm/heat wave to date™
@Feng it’s a freak storm man. Also you get used to it 🇨🇦
@kenneth eginton too funny. Great troll
@Feng
There’s no place like home, no matter how hot or cold it may be.
As a Minnesotan, half these images are scary, and the other half are… just a normal winter day. ❄️ Makes me feel grateful for the snow removal infrastructure here in MN.
That is the point- to scare
Doesn’t that happen every time to the homes by the lakes? I feel like they always have something more extreme happen every year.
Yup. It does happen pretty often. But can’t scare people into giving up their rights and suck more taxes out of them because of “climate change” without hyping up every storm that comes by.
I don’t think it gets more extreme. The media just reports in it non stop to spread the hype and fear. And the more people continue to build on lakeshore, riverside, the more ice, floods and hurricanes will do damage because there are simply more structures to be affected. Flooding in big cities gets worse because drainage was not a thought as they continued to build and build and build and build, and drop more and more concrete. These storms have happened through out history, but there was no social media and a pea sized population. Add people, build more, report more, and suddenly it is dubbed the storm of the century. Doesn’t help that it occurred in the busiest travel time of the year when millions more than usual are on the roads and in airports.
Every year, for how long?
Is it always the same slope? Or are we missing the big picture ups and downs?

Yep, and things will just get worse every year 🙁 thanks climate change…
It wasn’t the snowfall alone, it was incredible wind with gusts up to 70 miles an hour.
@blacknester at -35 degrees Celsius?
@blacknester Anything over a certain speed combined with subzero temperatures will cause damage. We lost power at our house. Thankfully, we were the lucky ones, and it was for only 16 hours. Our home was freezing cold. Others have gone days without heat and electricity. And are you saying up to 150 miles per hour or kilometers per hour, because that makes a difference.
70 is not much. We are having 100+ on regular with 130 gusts here in Croatia.
Back in my day, we walked to school barefooted in 40 feet of snow, and we didn’t get no YouTube video.
Ok boomer
Back in those days there was no agenda about global “warming”….it was just winter– sometimes colder, sometimes warmer.
👨🦳
This makes me feel bad that I’m in Florida. Stay safe y’all. 🙏🏼
You and the rest of the crazies! The heat obviously has something to do with it lol
I live in St Louis and we got a whopping 3 inches. It was damn cold and windy though. This footage is crazy.
@joris de jong😂😂😂😂😂
I told you 3 inches was big Susan!
3 INCHES!!! DAMN!!!
It look like scenes from the movie the day after tomorrow. 😲
@adessa Chui Or its the science that proves global warming… what is it you guys say all the time? “Do SoMe ReShErCh”…
It looks like normal winter day in Russia…
@adessa Chui shut up
I was just thinking that, especially the opening image
They are playing with their weather toys again
That looked insane..
