This is the first souls that Im gonna play as soon is released, without any guidance or wiki, just discovering the game along millions more. Awesome.
If this is your first souls game then please don’t give up. Trust me when I say that after you beat your first souls game it will be permanently one of your favorite gaming experiences. To this day I still go back to dark souls 1. Enjoy your 500+ deaths.
YES! My favorite games end up being the ones I go into mostly blind. I can’t wait to stumble on optional boss whose so obtuse to find that it takes the rest of the community a month to figure out how the fuck to access it
I feel just the same, gonna be playing as a guts build, as a tribute to miura, but I’ll definitely try out other builds after my first run.
@Sorow Fame .Ps3 level graphics on the ps5, This gameplay looks terrible Elden ring will be more overrated rinse and repeat copy and paste garbage with the same stale gameplay that these fanboys refuse to acknowledge the obvious glaring issues this trash studio and there games have. Man why can’t we go back to the 90s when quality and creativity was absolute and not the same pos games with no charm hyped up to these mindless fanboys who keep consuming garbage when ever it comes out. Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3 are excellent games. All of the Soulsborne games are awesome. It’s an experience others try and replicate but mostly fail.

@Tyginho Zirigdum Definitely a troll but he’s not really wrong that this looks exactly the same as dark souls. I feel like this genre has advanced so little. Like we’re really still using the enemy waiting just behind a random wall. Sure it adds “difficulty” but not in any organic way.

Holy shit… I always try to temper expectations when it comes to new game releases… this looks like it might go above and beyond anything I could have imagined. I cannot wait to play this game. Thank you Fromsoft!

I like that they‘re keeping things similar to dark souls, but still adding a lot more fantasy elements, combat mechanics and I guess what will be a fully fletched stealth system.

This looks absolutely amazing.
I like how smooth some of the states seems to blend in the animations. The world is also nice, and the gameplay seems really cool.
Will definitely pick this up at release. FromSoftware has not failed me yet. And I seriously doubt this will be the time.

I’ve yet to play a bad game from them. I love having a map and I wonder if it’ll work in the dungeon areas or if it’s just for the open world areas. I also like that it seems we can switch between more than 2 weapons. Magic also looks more easily accessible than in previous games. This will be the first game I’ve pre-ordered in a very long time. I usually wait, but, as you said, FromSoftware hasn’t failed us yet.
Magic looks really cool, maybe the coolest of any Fromsoft title. I love that summons are really seamlessly integrated into the flow of gameplay, just like you’re casting a spell. And I love how the bosses look as unique as past Fromsoft titles and as hard. They look fantastic and the game looks amazing.
There’s 1 familiar trope that they keep reusing though: humanoid bosses with transformed left hand. Rodric definitely is one example.
