If you know Wilbur Soot, then you likely know about his infamously unsolvable ARG. For those NOT in the know, it’s time to catch up. Now, this video may seem a little late, but this was indeed a hard one to solve. Yet, I think I did just that. To think that this whole ARG took MatPat 3 years to figure out. At least it’s still faster than me trying to solve a Rubik’s Cube.

Never would’ve thought that the solution to this ARG would be so dark. Wilbur is an amazing storyteller and you all did an amazing job at solving this. Extremely awesome video 🙂

I’ve always wondered how many ARGs go “unsolved.” I mean, do the creators ever come out and go, “Great job, that was it!” It seems like all ARGs would be unsolved by some metric. I also kind of wonder how many never finish given the audience wouldn’t really know the last clue was given, again, because the creator rarely comes out and says, “Okay, all the clues are there!”

    • Fox in A box says:

Or the worst one, the one that goes unnoticed. The arg is done, and then they sprinkle some starters somewhere only for nobody knowing its an arg.

    • R - G - C says:

Unless if you’re a guy called MatPat who DIRECTLY tells you the answer to his ARG.

  5. Cepte says:

Further reinforcing this, The Cask of Amontillado is about a man who murders someone who insulted him.

  6. Sam says:

It’s not Wilbur’s fault that he did it. He was only recently turned down by a e-girl

  7. I'm not exciting says:

If I had a nickel for every ARG that I’ve seen that had The raven by Edgar Allen Poe attached to it in some way, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it’s happened twice.

  8. Loser_Geek_Weebever says:

Wilbur’s gonna be so stoked to see Matpat talking about him again lmao

  9. spectre says:

the fact matpat has now done a game-theory on this has made my entire day, I’m not kidding, args are one of my absolute favourite things and so is game theory and wilbur’s content, so seeing this after not seeing much about the editor wilbur for months makes me so happy
