Normally you can’t tell someone their inspiration, but homegirl knows her biggest inspiration was Lil Kim as her whole foundation from the hair colors, fashion, Barbie persona is all from the blueprint Kim created. During the era she was the only popular one. With he beef with one, she obviously turned out on top. There was no competition really. No one cared about a crown. A lot of female rappers where in drama they honestly ended some careers.

Im so so proud of queen Nicki she’s come along way. I remember when she came out alot of folks would say, “lets see if she can even last 10 yrs”. Now she’s over 10 yrs in the game 16 to be exact. Remember yall it was back in o7 did a couple of tapes then in 2010 she dropped her debut album. And been the queen ever since. There hasn’t been another female like her not ever.
The gag is that she had a pretty steady rap career even before she got signed and went mainstream
Honoring the music that shook up and influenced the world. I love us. Such a great performance.
