So, as a volunteer Search and Rescue dog handler, I love this so much and can confirm this is all accurate. I have been volunteering for the past 4 years with my dog, a Belgian Malinois which is similar to German Shepards but a bit more hyperactive and energetic. The training process with these dogs is intense and takes a ton of discipline and focus. Super cool that you did this video. I will sent separately what it looks like to start the training from the puppy ages, to teach, and socialize them with humans and families.
It is completely blowing my mind the ability that these dogs have. Super cool
would you answer a random question of how long after can such dog follow a scent ? Assuming eg. no rain and not very windy.
@ArSo from a hunting perspective: my experience is dry is much harder than rain.
Distinguishing between the 2 twins was the most incredible thing to me. You gotta think, they probably use the same soap and shampoo. Probably stay in the same room, live in the same house, and have probably been next to each other almost their entire lives. And she’s didn’t even hesitate.
Looks like identical twins are still not identical enough to be the same person. Still another person with their own smell
One thing I didn’t think about until recently – just because twins have the same DNA doesn’t mean they have the same DNA expression. That’s part of the reason why identical twins don’t always look exactly alike. So I guess Zinka was able to pick up on this small difference.
