Once the 12 decided to try and pass the 23 the second time, it killed both of their chances of winning. Even if the 23 doesn’t go around, the 23 and the 12 had lost so much momentum (due to the first block), that the race was probably over for them at that point. Watch the 8 car after the first block and after the second block. Kyle had more speed when the 12 tried the second pass attempt (on the outside) that no matter what happened at that time, he and the 6 car were gonna motor past both of them on the inside. 10:08
