    Tech tip: don’t get hacked

Man, my guy was so focused that he forgot to put clothes on. So much dedication to the channel. We would’ve felt the same, and were so glad you’re back.

  4. Corey Ham says:

As someone in the cybersecurity industry, thanks for being so open about what happened, and bringing awareness to the technical elements involved. It CAN happen to anyone, what really matters is how you react.

It’s videos like this and the honesty and respect you guys show to everyone from sponsors and partners to fans and customers, that makes us all more than happy to support in any way we can. Glad everything for the most part is sorted out. P.s. Next time don’t blur out the birthday suit 😉 😂

I can totally imagine how much stress that must have been for you and your team. Glad that you got all of the channels back!
    Take care everyone!

The accountability from the top down highlights what a great boss you are 👌🏻 glad you’re back up

  8. Judo Sloth Gaming says:

Glad you got this sorted! You can actually disable all forms of two factor other than a security key by enrolling in the Advanced Protection Program. I’d highly recommend all YouTubers do so. There does need to be changes for this type of thing though. Even to start there could be more limited channel permissions, it would be a quick change but go a long way.

  9. Camden Jungquist says:

It’s incredibly mature of Linus to not put the blame on the guy who downloaded the file and instead on himself and the training of his employees. That’s an amazing boss right there.

  10. TexRobNC says:

Great attitude Linus. I’m 45, been in IT since I was a kid, quite literally, but left the industry in the past year. It’s a mess man. I’m glad that you have the right mindset, it’s a rarity, and if I had access to working at an org with a boss that understood what a weird fluctuating time we’re in, I might still be in IT. We’ve moved to so many service based things, it’s hard to be the engineer that comes in and fixes everything, because you don’t have access because it’s a service, or the way stuff is supposed to “just work” between services, it’s all just service coordination not engineering these days. Anyhow, /end rant
