Once again, remember that Ridley Scott is 85 years old and is still directing epics.

The last duel didn’t do well at the box office.

    • Oni-One says:

@Ádám Szász I mean, tbf, I didn’t really want to watch a film centered around betrayal, rape, and greed in 2021. I doubt many others did either.

    • Fruit Penguin says:

@Ádám Szász The film was phenomenal but 2021 was the year of going to see marvel movies and shallow-plot action films, the last duel was a slow-burner mystery movie with a historically accurate set/story

    • SeriousnessTV says:

      Yes and it shows

    • Coffeefiend1 says:

@Ádám Szász Not doing well at the box office doesn’t mean much, he’s had a lot of stuff that didn’t do overly well when it was released. They’ve all been masterpieces though. You have to remember he makes a genuine token gesture to make them mainstream accessible as he’s fully aware most of the population are dense as absolute pig shit but Ridley does have more balls than most and makes films of a genre for an intended audience.

    this looks insanely good!

  3. Sentinel says:

I love how so much of the big battle scenes look like paintings. Also the coronation was just perfection.

Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake. – Napoleon
    Give me real chills.

  5. Joseph Gomwalk says:

I honestly can’t wait to see this movie! I hope we get more historical epics like this

    • Kyle Hopkins says:

If no one goes to see it we wont…..he’s directed two box office flops in a row House of Gucci and The Last Duel…..The Last Duel should have made a lot at the box office but nope

  6. 💘TAP BELOW👇 says:

Historical epics like Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and Now Ridley Scott’s Napoleon are definitely worth watching on the big screen can’t wait to see this.

  7. Yaseen says:

From a Roman emperor to a French emperor, Joaquin Phoenix is an incredibly versatile and talentful actor. He fits and perform well in probably every movie he has been a part of. Can’t wait to see another movie with him and by legendary director Ridley Scott.

If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus Is Lord’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. -Romans 10:9

    • Muppet Lord says:

Maybe he’s just been type cast as an emperor?

    • Brandon Johnson says:

@Muppet Lordtwo roles as an emperor among many other great roles doesn’t make you typecast

    • Mrdresden says:

One can hope we will one day see him lend his skills to the role of the one true Emperor of Mankind on the big screen.

    • Ashton Visser says:

@Muppet Lord less type casting and more that he’s just a great up and coming actor with a decent appearance for Napoleon. H doesn’t hurt that he won an Oscar for Joker either.

  8. RE-VIEW MY BOI says:

The moment when Joaquin phoenix said
“” There’s nothing we can do “” 🥶🥶 totally give me chills

I can’t wait for more trailers!

It’s just – there’s nothing I can do about it

  10. Historia Circular says:
