(I’ve always wanted to make a psychological thriller.)

It’s honestly incredible how SMG4 went from making silly little skits on sm64 to making these awesome high quality movies.

It’s so crazy seeing how much SMG4 has grown. Just a couple of guys making clips of Super Mario 64 with text over it, to having an entire production team bringing us animations and movies with memorable characters and scenes, and stuff like this that still manages to bring a tear to my eye.

Can’t believe how SMG4 went from a lie about a cake to humorous yet dark and disturbing arcs. 🗿

there are zero ways i can think of to describe just how good they’ve been getting both story and characters this new one rivals even Disney this was perfect

  6. Cole Kiesler says:

It still amazes me that these special arc movies still tear us up with the emotion built in to it. Even if this is still not the true ending of SMG4 it still gets me every time.

What a movie. Terrifying, jaw-dropping, exciting, dark, and heart-warming. The thought of losing Meggy is unthinkable (Thankfully, it DIDN’T happen), and Tari is becoming more and more brave.

This was a relatively short arc, with just a few episodes and a movie (which is probably the equivalent to five more episodes), with Meggy trying to find her idol only to find he is a villain and is forced to fight him, with references to Groundhog Day and the Matrix thrown in.

Keep up the good work, SMG4.

Find it kinda sad that they turned wren into that

    • Death says:

      @rappabobyou know what they say
Die a hero or live long as a villain

    • MonkeBrain says:

@Death It’s more “You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.”

    • MarioFanXXL says:

I think it IS a combination of Groundhog Day and The Matrix but in a SMG4 skin.

    • Hoop says:

wait but the simulation was given to wren by the same person who gave smg4 the magical keyboard that corrupted him and since it isn’t in a playlist i’m assuming this arc is gonna go longer considering WOTFI has been used as an ending to multiple arcs. This probably means that this arc will go longer, and its gotta be perfect and western spaghetti is going to lead to the end of arc, or a new movie will be created.

I can’t believe I went from watching wacky Mario 64 Shitposts on SMG4 in 2014 to watching genuinely hooking psychological horror in an SMG4 movie in 2023. Watching this channel slowly evolve has been one of the happiest things in my life

  9. Ultravolt says:

What an amazing movie, SMG4. Truly amazing work as always.

  10. RylzeX says:

SMG4’s transition from creating small sm64 skits to producing impressive high-quality films is truly amazing.
