I love that commando droids are making such a comeback recently

I’ve always imagined how a commando droid could’ve survived and be an outlaw during the empire era. Finally it’s here…

Lol. I played the Star Wars rpg. It’s Star Wars dnd. My exact character was a heavily modified commando droid to have his own personality and thought process. Had a duster, a sheriff had, and was an old west style marshal.

@Cognelius Been looking over my old Saga edition book myself. Doesn’t have a base frame for the Commando droids (best that got is the Super Battle Droid which is only a step up from the cannon fodder), but easy enough to custom built something similar. I think there was a Clone Wars specific expansion book that had more options though.

The magical thing about Star wars universe is that you can tell the story of random people but still get people interested about it. This game seems fantastic and i’m hyped to get my hands on it.

    • Eighth leg of the Phantom Troupe says:

This is what Disney should have always done, move away from the Skywalkers, and do their own original stuff.

    • CT 7567 says:

@Eighth leg of the Phantom TroupeDisney’s goal was never to expand on the sky walkers… It was always to destroy the storyline

    • ReptahV says:

The cgi trailer looks fantastic* we don’t know how the game will turn out.

    • The Automator says:

@ReptahV I imagine it’ll look similar to jedi fallen order and survivor. However, considering it’s Ubisoft and not Respawn maybe it’ll look like Watch Dogs

    • LeJunny says:

@Eighth leg of the Phantom Troupethat’s not the best idea, the Star Wars franchise kind of revolves around the success of the Skywalkers because of the impact they made in the galaxy… Disney has done a good job with their spin off series but as we saw from the sequel trilogy, not providing the right amount of fan service will make everyone upset… it’s like watching Dragon Ball Z and trying to get rid of Goku or Saiyans, it won’t work. Look how many fans Boruto lost when they moved away from Naruto. That applies to most TV shows that try to reboot and disregard the original, it happened with That 70s Show, Full House, Boy Meets World, and the list goes on. I’m a huge Star Wars fan, I have seen everything and read mostly everything that’s canon and the thing that keeps me interested is how it all connects to Anakin lol

This has insane potential. One of the things thats lacking is more non rebel/empire content, and the syndicates is something ive been fascinated by since Maul in the Clone Wars. I cant wait for gameplay content

  5. Maria: Come Fast To Get Into My Body says:

I’m super exited I can’t wait to see what they do with this open world Star Wars game

  6. Harbinger1227 says:

What’s this? A commando droid that’s on your side and will be a major companion? This is a dream come true ❤

  7. Savagewolver9593 says:

The fact they have a commando droid on the team, which is one of my favorite designs from clone wars, is enough to get my attention.

  8. Gamer 303 says:

Game looks pretty good, I definitely want to see more of that space battle between the rebels and the empire

  9. Noah Shine says:

The score for that around the 1 minute mark is incredible

  10. Clussy Love says:

All it takes is that familiar John Williams score and I get instant goosebumps every time.
