This man, this ONE MAN made a FUKING BACKSTORY for a mob that STILL ISIN’T IN THE GAME…MY GUY, YOU ARE A LEGEND
not to mention how quickly he was able to construct his own model of both the broken ancient city and the restored version.
I also like how when chosen return stick figure tells the warden the plan its not only notes but its also pigstep

I seriously love how Alan:
– Presents these stickfigures
– Is able to blend both common solutions against an opponent (“defeat em with friendship!” “defeat em with fight!”)
– Gave a murderous and powerful beast a lovely backstory
– Animates fights and how SC swung around The Warden’s body in the fight
– Shows not tells (highlights were the notes that literally painted a picture for what’s happening)
– Has a good emphasis on relationships and doesn’t just resort to always fighting
– Creating solutions to problems that seem nearly impossible
– Still has time to add comedy to it
– Dwells on multiple ‘genres’ like the horror in this vid
I think we can agree we all love his style
The moment when the Warden was chasing SC my heart literally was racing, and SC+Warden vs King Orange (not sure his name) was such an awesome fight.

The Minecon Live event that the newest Deep Dark features were announced in was just a few weeks ago. Somehow, Alan, in that amount of time, tied the new setting and new blocks into an incredibly high quality animation. Alan Becker, you’re a master.

God the sheer level of impressiveness and depth that went into this is mind blowing, the scares at the beginning, the touching and heartfelt back story of the warden, even the fun little detail of orange playing out a musical message and making music note stick figures. How this stuff hasn’t earned an award yet is beyond me.
