anthony’s videos usually have a air of professionalism, and not to say he’s not being professional here, but at a certain point this video feels a lot more like two old friends just chatting rather than the typical interview. it’s very fun 🙂

  3. crab toes says:

I feel like this is a perfect way to actually be an LGBTQ+ ally. Listening and bouncing off of what we actually say. Rather than just screaming “I love gay” “gay people are cool.” It’s so refreshing to see a straight creator actually act in a genuinely respectful way

Dan is such a chaotic guest which is hilarious and Anthony just makes it 10x better with his chill personality 😂

As someone who turns 40 next year and is just now embracing my gender identity, I need people like Dan as a role model. Thank you for being you out loud!

  6. Johnnie Guilbert says:

Really love this video you both have great chemistry. Thank you for this conversation.

  7. Tiler Tyler says:

dan talking about not wanting to be perceived but also craving attention literally sums up the introvert experience

  8. ThereforeIAmNot says:

Listening to Dan talk is like getting secondhand therapy

Between the show and You Will Get Through This Night, I’ve experienced such a shift in my mental health. For the first time in my life, I feel like I actually have the tools to make positive, lasting changes on the dumpster fire that is my life.

All this from the guy I started watching 12 years ago for his relatable, “lol random” humour. What a journey

    • Melissa says:

Man, that last part really just drove home for me how unexpected yet incredible Dan’s journey and impact both are. He can genuinely say that he’s helped hundreds of thousands (if not millions!) of people transform their lives. :’)

  9. Faith Nadeau says:

I remember back in 2013/2014 being 17/18 at college, Dan & Phil’s radio one show was my favourite thing to watch on a Sunday. I would go to the laundry room with my laptop and sit and watch them while I waited for my clothes to wash and dry. Having them be part of my routine helped keep me going when I was in one of my worst places mentally as the routine and the feeling of not being alone meant so much to me then. I’m 27 now and having Dan come back in the last few months to semi regular posting has been great

    • Mani Lee says:

Yesss I was 14-15 then and I watched their radio show a lot. I was sad when it ended lol

    • Jessica says:

Ahh I remember tuning in for their radio show too! I still remember the songs ppl would create fanmade videos for and send in! Dan and Phil’s videos – as well as those of a bunch of other youtubers circa 2012-2014 – likely helped me way more than I realized at the time, bc looking back, I definitely had anxiety but didn’t know that it was a thing others experienced or how to talk about it. Seeing Dan talk about relatable feelings made me feel less alone and distracted me from my own overthinking/thought spirals. And now watching this, I totally agree with Dan that the jokes about depression/mental health helped put some of the mental health terms on the table for me to eventually finally seek therapy in more recent years 🙂 so big, big thanks to Dan for being one of the sources of joy in my life in those vulnerable preteen to teenager years and inadvertently teaching me things about life :’)

    • Scaleon Khan says:

One of my tweets ended up on the radio show and I remember being so happy. Still have my screenshot of the last moments of the final radio show too.

    • lucia says:

i relate so much to that experience!! how beautiful that we’ve all made it this far together

  10. Mirian Rodrigues says:

I hope Dan knows how many people he has helped throughout the years. Dan and his community has always been a safe space for LGBTQIA+ people even before he came out and I love it so much.
