Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Chris Tucker, Jason Bateman, Marlon Wayans and Viola Davis… this has got to be one of the most interesting ensemble cast in recent years!

The French Dispatch, Glass Onion, Dune, The Eternals, Babylon, Little Women, Another Round… All better and more interesting and talented ensemble cases than this.
Hardly. Ben Affleck and Matt Damon have worked together numerous times. They were just in The Last Duel. Chris Tucker and Marlon Wayans are not great actors and Viola Davis deserves better. She’s the only really great actor in this cast.
Um question who is playing Michael Jordan?

He is a VERY good director. Not a big fan as an actor; think Casey has more range and emotion.

People really don’t realize Jordan’s global impact on sports. Every athlete who came after him is indebted to what he did. GOATs change the world. The word gets thrown around a lot, but they are actually very few of them.
If Jordan was simply a ‘good player’, Nike wouldn’t have exploded in popularity. I’m old enough to remember Magic Johnson’s playing days… there is nothing we can compare to the Jordan era, it is what brought basketball to the world.
I’m talking about Europe, Asia, and everywhere else not only NA. He is undeniably the biggest global icon in sports. His playing and winning was what attracted people to watch him. Because of that, everything he wore became popular, especially the shoes – and gave birth to sneaker culture, which is now global as well. No amount of marketing or strategy could have accomplished this.
@KnowJC Jordan was mostly famous in NA. With time he was known everywhere. But I get your point.
YOU, know if him that way, and that way will stay in your mind forever. It’s ok.
But there were a time when people know more of Kareem Abdul Jabar and Magic Johnson than Jordan. It wasn’t until he became the trademark “Air” Jordan when his popularity explode. And that’s what this movie will tell. A company in need of selling shoes and a really good player to showcase as a brand. Win-win situation.
@Juan Anónimo I grew up in Canada, and my family is from Asia, my wife’s family is from Europe. We heard of Pele and respected him. But he wasn’t a global icon in North America or Asia. Michael Jordan is celebrated all over the globe. People in every single continent were glued to the TV when Michael Jordan played.
Nike became the leading sports apparel brand on the planet because of Jordan. Jordan’s own brand is a basketball brand, but a professional futbol team PSG has Jordan as a major sponsor. His brand even crosses over to other sports.

For someone that’s never watched a single basketball game, I got chills all over my body. Awesome trailer. Hope the movie won’t disappoint.

When I first heard about this movie, it sounded interesting with the premise, cast, and Affleck directing. Definitely going to theater for this
