@Fukai Kokoro 100%. My dad lowkey checked out years ago despite him still being “in my life.” Now, he retired in a diff country, so he’s no longer living in the house. It’s wild. I’m genuinely happy for people – especially women/girls – who have great relationships with their dad. But at the same time, it makes me sad because I wish I had that with my dad. Ah well.
@Chiditry and keep in touch w him as much as you can, even if you guys have a somewhat strained relationship. I’m 19 and my dad passed away about 4 months ago, we were incredibly close. This is kind of taking it to the extreme, but you truly never know what will happen. Wishing you and your dad all the best <3

I was noticing that all of the women in the video seemed to coincidentally have such self-confidence and mature energy. It’s so interesting how fathers choosing to be supportive, kind, caring, and present in their daughters lives often creates healthy, confident girls. I love to see it!
That is basically said for anyone who has pretty decent parents or 1 pretty good parent. My bf was raised by a single mother and i too was raised by a single mother and we owe everything to them. Its just down to a good parent

Not me silently struggling with an untreated case of major depressive disorder all through out my school years with two sets of straight cis parents and straight cis step parents.
I’m not trying to take anything away from these dads – I’m sure they put in a lot of effort to maintain a healthy relationship with their daughters – but I don’t think the average middle class household is represented here. I think these are pretty wealthy and privileged families, and a lot of money just makes parenting a tad bit easier. Just something to keep in mind, especially for “ordinary” parents who watch this video and mirror their situation to the ones shown here.
