BLUE BEETLE | OFFICIAL FINAL TRAILER
The Reyes family just got its first superhero. #BlueBeetle – Only in theaters August 18.
From Warner Bros. Pictures comes the feature film “Blue Beetle,” marking the DC Super Hero’s first time on the big screen. The film, directed by Angel Manuel Soto, stars Xolo Maridueña in the title role as well as his alter ego, Jaime Reyes.
Recent college grad Jaime Reyes returns home full of aspirations for his future, only to find that home is not quite as he left it. As he searches to find his purpose in the world, fate intervenes when Jaime unexpectedly finds himself in possession of an ancient relic of alien biotechnology: the Scarab. When the Scarab suddenly chooses Jaime to be its symbiotic host, he is bestowed with an incredible suit of armor capable of extraordinary and unpredictable powers, forever changing his destiny as he becomes the Super Hero BLUE BEETLE.
Starring alongside Maridueña (“Cobra Kai”) are Adriana Barraza (“Rambo: Last Blood,” “Thor”), Damían Alcázar (“Narcos,” “Narcos: Mexico”), Elpidia Carrillo (“Mayans M.C.,” the “Predator” films), Bruna Marquezine (“Maldivas,” “God Save the King”), Raoul Max Trujillo (the “Sicario” films, “Mayans M.C.”), with Oscar winner Susan Sarandon (“Monarch,” “Dead Man Walking”), and George Lopez (the “Rio and “Smurf” franchises). The film also stars Belissa Escobedo (“American Horror Stories,” “Hocus Pocus 2”) and Harvey Guillén (“What We Do in the Shadows”). Soto (“Charm City Kings,” “The Farm”) directs from a screenplay by Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer (“Miss Bala”), based on characters from DC. John Rickard and Zev Foreman are producing, with Walter Hamada, Galen Vaisman and Garrett Grant serving as executive producers.
The director’s creative team behind the scenes includes director of photography Pawel Pogorzelski (“Midsommar,” “Hereditary”), production designer John Billington (“Bad Boys for Life”), editor Craig Alpert (“Deadpool 2,” “The Lost City”), Oscar-nominated costume designer Mayes C. Rubeo (“Jojo Rabbit,” the “Thor” films), visual effects supervisor Kelvin McIlwain (“The Suicide Squad,” “Aquaman”) and composer Bobby Krlic (“Midsommar,” the “Snowpiercer” series).
A Warner Bros. Pictures Presentation, a Safran Company Production, “Blue Beetle” soars into theaters only internationally beginning August 2023 and in North America August 18, 2023. It will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.
I love how Reyes’s family is along side him even trying their can to help him, unlike other hero’s hiding their identity.
That’s what gets them killed
That is refreshing.
Is this a thing in the comics? Because I find this idea pretty interesting.
@Me King Tiger yes it is
We don’t look at the story because it’s the same as everyone knows, we just look at what’s different about it
GET OUT!!!
GET OUT!!!
This movie looks SOOO MUCH better than The Flash. No unnecessary cameos. Just a pure, fun and action-packed origin story. and the VFX is pretty good too.
But is that enough? People said the same thing about Shazam 2, and they sure as heck didn’t show up in the theaters.
oh there better be a post credit scene Booster Gold: “oh sorry wrong Blue Beetle! im too far ahead!”
The Flash??… Oh you mean Batman into the Bat-verse
If any cameos, it would represent the previous Blue Beetles before Jaime.
Those unnecessary cameos are seconds long the flash is a fun & action pack solo movie what are you on about?
I hope this movie kicks as much butt as the trailer. Perfectly and brilliantly cast with lots of feel good family fun. THIS IS HOW YOU COME BACK DC!!
“Batmans a fascist”
come back? this is a stand alone, not in the NEW continuity
@Mamodokod talk about what not to do!
it will be another flop regardless.
@TheSortingMail You are responding to a bot
This honestly feels like a fun time at the theatres. DC has done a horrible job so far at the marketing department for this movie. This deserves an audience. Looking forward to watching it
I especially loved where the scarab said ‘anything you can imagine I can create’.
I’ve always loved blue beetle after watching young justice, really hyped to see him getting his own movie.
Massive respect to DC for promoting the comics at the end – that’s gonna be great for the people who worked on those!
DC always respects the comic. Can’t say the same thing for Marvel
They been doing this from some time now
@KARIM DAVIS true
But if it’s like flash 💀
So do you recommend read about the pregnant Joker or the crape of Superman?
I am so hyped up and ready to jump on the Blue Beetle wagon, this trailer is even more exciting than the first one was! The suit, the mad visuals and CGI, the action, the characters, and Xolo’s grounded and relatable performance as Jaime Reyes has me hooked on this movie! I know nothing about the character nor have I ever touched a comic book but I’m excited to watch this movie! If Blue Beetle can meet my expectations than I’m going to put my full trust in DC on building and expanding their rebooted universe. Hopefully Marvel Studios can find its footing again, maybe take a few notes from its competitor as well
Looks like another version of Iron Man or Ant-Man
@XLBR He is better than them
@Sharan I don’t mean the character. The film.
@XLBRwell it is a scarab
I just want a DC movie of this time to be actually good not just the trailers so here’s to blue beetle being actually good
This guy has been one of my favorite superheroes ever since I was a kid, but no one seems to know who he was. I’m very happy with how the suit looks and how he is being portrayed for modern audiences! Can’t wait to watch this movie!!!
