A cyberpunk movie in this quality would be wild

  2. Vall says:

Wow, hats off to everyone at CDPR who played a part in making this trailer. This is insanely well made

Would genuinely love a little TV show or movie animated like this. Looks great and close enough to reality that it’s not uncanny

Love, Death, and Robots on Netflix does a lot like this. It’s an anthology series with some different styles, but a lot of that close-to-realism.

    • Optimistas777 says:

@Matt Johnson was about to say the same

    • Jon Parker says:

I’ve said it for so many years. If we could get entire shows or movies with cinematics of this quality, or stuff like SWTOR’s trailers and Halo 2:A’s cutscenes, it would be a new generation of video game adaptations, and it’d look like perfection.

    • Grim Gearheart says:

@Jon Parker Yeah, unfortunately it’s just not feasible, financially. Work like this takes soooo long to make.

    • Jon Parker says:

@Grim Gearheart I really wish it was. Rather, I hope it will eventually be, with the right advancements in the tech to make it easier and cheaper.

I am completely convinced that this could be the future of CG media, in larger projects and full-on production.

Hell, it doesn’t even have to be this graphically intense. Overwatch’s cinematics are another perfect example, with significantly less realism.

You can say a lot about CDPR. But they are amazing storytellers. This is one of the best trailers ever.

  5. Siren says:

2:05 so much emotion in those eyes. We can see the betrayal, sadness and anger in that short time window before he has to face the inevitable. I hope this franchise never loses its artistic touch.

I love the detail @1:20 when they’re talking about the quesadillas place. So Mi gives a boiler plate answer because she’s completely distracted by the thought of what she’s about to do. Reed looks confused and you can see that there must be a hundred thoughts a second going through his mind (a netrunner of So Mi’s calibre should definitely have remembered after all!). You can tell the exact moment when he decides she’s just overworked… Idris Elba and the animators absolutely knocked it out of the park with how subtle yet telling his micro expressions were during that short exchange.

I can’t stop being amazed how this fanbase doesn’t even have to speak, it’s like we’re all wired to the same netrunning frequency, and everything we feel/observe/see we do in unison, and there’s always at least one of us who will write it out for the rest of us to violently nodding the head and yelling out loud “YES! YES! TOTALLY” 🤩💛
The release cannot come sooner, this is gonna be a-mazing, another 700+ hours here I come!

I understood it as her realizing that that it is not even his memeories and she didn’t even take him there. After this trailer I’m almost entirely sold on Blue Eyes/Militech connection conspiracy. P.S. this is not a spoiler by the way, this is just my speculation on data that we have, but I’m pretty sure I will be proven right pretty soon.

    • Mat says:

Cdpr did a trailer (the witch) for the witcher 3 that was basically the real ending of the game, dlc included… And if… 😏😜🎉

    • m_rfio says:

@Aravalien Fenumiel this is sad bro

  7. Ernar Jandos says:

The acting, the graphics, the music. You can feel the betrayal personally.

  8. Diabolical Meek says:

    The Cyberpunk cinematics never disappoint

  9. Ersen says:

    1. the performance capture team is crazy. kudos to the engineers, programmers, animators and everyone else who worked on it.

    2. kudos to Idris Elba who seems to have knocked this out of the park. what a performance.

I rarely care about CGI trailers but this one was amazingly well done. Setting up the story and characters like this was so interesting, it wasn’t just some bombastic marvel style combat scene, but actually something with feeling behind it.
