Was not expecting an 80’s feel, but I like it!

maybe the golden age era? or another splicer

@beaniefaust Ikr, some people just won’t ever be satisfied. I’m a tad bit suprised they went this route, when I had just expected the Last City to become besieged again and subsequently fall, then perhaps the Helm to become our new social space, Eramis becoming a disciple for the Witness or maybe even less likely having a change of perspective and siding with us, and rather a super based around Hive soulfire. Also it seems we’ll have to wait longer to see Xivu since the focus is still all on Calus. I’m not mad that they took a different route though and am happy to see this game keep getting more content.

I feel like this comment was written by someone born after the 80s

@whopper jr. How are you getting that from this trailer?!?! You sound like the person that says games went woke for simply including a black character 😹😹😹

So hyped for Lightfall now, I was not expecting this to look so different than the previous D2 content. Very futuristic retro look, I would love it if they went with some like retrowave/synthwave type music for the expansion.

Seems to very much share a theme with Season of the Splicer doesn’t it? I wasn’t expecting this either and figured they would have The Last City besieged and maybe fall again (and the Helm could be a new social space of sorts) with something perhaps even happening to the Traveler. Xivu Arath I figured would have made an appearance by this point but clearly Calus is getting more attention first so he’s most likely the raid boss now that he’s a Disciple so I bet we get Savathun again and Xivu appearing in The Final Shape. I’m pleasantly suprised though and have nothing to complain about with this however.

Got goosebumps from how aesthetically impressive this trailer is. The retrofuturist vibes are peak style.

I wasn’t expecting this at ALL, but wow I’m excited for this I’m definitely buying this day one and no one will stop me

  5. Nick Kane says:

This trailer is so epic. I never thought I would feel more hyped for an expansion than the Witch Queen.. but man am I hyped.

  6. Taldaris says:

The armors look cool, hunter one reminds me of a Big Sister from Bioshock 2.

The aesthetics are gorgeous! Actually felt like I was watching a Deus Ex trailer set in the 80’s. The new powers will turn us to Spider-Man it seems.

  7. Trainer RED says:

This looks amazing. However, i do have one criticism. I would’ve much rather see this fight take place in the Last City itself rather than some new city out of nowhere. Losing the Last City would have a stronger emotional attachment to our Guardians rather than some random City i know nothing about. Either way this still looks good.

    • Kurt H says:

Idk I still Think we will lose the last city and in a way repeat the red war. Only this time not only losing the traveler but also have to evacuate everyone else. Then while figuring out how to fight back and another place that is safe we somehow find out about Neptune and the city there, Learn the new super and there might become our new temporary home till we take back the last city again in final shape. But that’s just me.

    • Bruin Hutchings says:

It could literally still happen – this is clearly the Witness entering the solar system working towards the traveller. This is just the first trailer for the expansion. Don’t count your chickens before the eggs hatch.

    • CallMe EJ says:

I agree I think it would make more narrative sense, why did Calus go to Neptune guess we’ll find out

    • Cosmology says:

@Garrus Vakarian this is a city built in the upper atmosphere of neptune, probably-think something like cloud city from Star Wars

    • Garrus Vakarian says:

Ive seen comments where people are mentioning this being on Neptune, which honestly doesnt make sense bc Neptune isnt a solid planet, its gas like Saturn and Jupiter. Maybe its one of the moons.

  8. Jojito1408 says:

Destiny developers are the true blessings, couldn’t be any happier to support and continuely play this game

  9. Lego Watto says:

Neptune as an explorable location is so sick, Lightfall is gonna be AMAZING!

  10. urgent says:

It’s been about a year since I touched destiny but this new expansion looks dope so I might come back and try it out
