“Your New Home” is such a genius name. It shows how Pomni slowly came to the realization that there really is no way out for her and that she’ll just have to accept the fact the circus is her new home
That was the point I felt true horror in the story. Not for the characters being in danger but just being unable to leave something so unnatural. It never felt like they could really die, yet there was threat of abstraction. Which is implied is both painful and your mental breaking point. And that, coupled with madness, was the main threat.
But pomnis realization mixing so ominously with the music is amazing. The music is fun, then the chords change. They feel strained and higher. Like a wire about to snap.
So true! When you hear this music, the only thing that you think is: “well crap I guess this is my life now”

What I love most about it is that every song sounds like the soundtrack to a classic video game. It really sells the “digital” in amazing digital circus
