It is amazing that this beautiful song is played at the funeral of Mrs.Carter who was a devout religious individual. A song that says imagine there was no heaven or inferno, but only skies above us.

I kind of like the fact that this is posted in chunks. I don’t think I could cry for a whole hour and a half in one go.
Mrs. Carter is and will remain an inspiration. What makes me sad is not that I’m going to miss her; it’s all the people gathered in her honor who WILL miss her. From what I’ve seen today, she was a wonderful person just as a family member, neighbor, and friend, to say nothing of her impact on the wider world.

Very true. So it’s a little weird to me that a song chosen for her funeral “imagines” there’s no heaven, when she and Jimmy always professed their Christianity.
