The tone of this seems absolutely _BRUTAL_ and I’m really looking forward to seeing how Godzilla is depicted here both visually and thematically.
Given the tone here, I believing that this Godzilla would be metaphor again like the first Godzilla movie.
If he approaches it like he did with Yamato, it will feel super familiar and yet different in equal and interesting measure. People still kind of put that flick down, but I still rewatch it from time to time and I’m an old fart.
@Marc Esteban Especially with Godzilla always having been a metaphor focused on post-war Japan suffering even during the period of restoration, the theme here of being reduced to nothing and Godzilla taking things into the negative hammers in that theme very overtly.
As all Goji films should be, especially the legendary version.

Can’t wait, I loved Shin Godzilla so going to be hard to follow that up, but looks great from the snippets in the trailer. I’m interested at least.

I heard that this is going to be close to the original as well (dark, depressing, and grim). It won’t be the typical heisei godzilla, but more like both the original and Shin Godzilla.
How does this tie in with shin I heard it does

Shin is prob one of my all time fav godzilla films. The more serious tone for godzilla always fits better.
This movie looks absolutely insane, and from what is shown of it I am LOVING Godzilla’s design, looks almost like a modern Heisei goji with the head
Feels like Heisei mixed with a hint of Millennium spikes and some of the Legendary all rolled into one

By the trailer, godzilla shows HIGH FODDER feats. Building level.
As a fan of Godzilla, I believe this production must be incredible, especially at the end of the trailer where the classic roar took place, I got goosebumps, I can’t wait to see this movie
The design already looks crazy good as usual. The legs look a lot like Shin with how the toes are, but the head looks like a mix of heisei and monsterverse. I’m so hyped for this.
The head is a mixed of Shin “no ears” and a bit of Heisei

He’s really looking like a burned, scarred, angry animal in this, and I’m here for it. Hopefully, there is yet another reveal – an undefiled, more hopeful, natural Gojira. One uninjured, one irradiated and nearly destroyed… I can hope.

Habían dicho que esta pelicula será distinta a las demas peliculas, asi como lo fue Shin Godzilla a su manera.
