How Margot Robbie Became Barbie 🎀✨ | Teen Vogue
“I actually don’t know if I even owned a Barbie.” Margot Robbie may have not been obsessed with the dolls as a child, but there was one thing that she was extremely keen on: the Barbie Dreamhouse. From constructing her fold-out house as a 5-year-old to seeing a life-size version come to life right before her eyes, Margot Robbie truly manifested her Barbie dreams. Margot breaks down her entire process for the ‘Barbie’ movie, from the mental preparation for the role, working alongside Greta Gerwig and Ryan Gosling on set, the fabulous pink wardrobe and so much more.

@Mike Frommie okay why is that relevant to my comment???
Barbie on her YouTube talking about saying “thank you” instead of “sorry” has always stuck with me. Nice to hear Margot also resonated with that message 🥹💜

I wish they would make a Barbieland hotel that you can stay in and where there is a dresscode so everyone looks like Barbie/Ken!
Yess, since the first time they showed the set i’ve been thinking about that, it would be amazing and is going to make bank…. At least i hope they preserve the set.

I didn’t know that she produced the movie! Margot really put her all into this project❤
Fabulously made movie! America’s speech made the entire theater cry and I truly hope she gets an award for it!! Margot, Greta, and everyone involved in the making of this film, THANK YOU! ❤
She totally nailed it as Barbie 🌼💗
Laugh, cry, laugh, cry. Hug your moms. Be whoever you want to be. Don’t settle into others expectations of you. Great movie
When America did that monologue, the entire theatre broke out into spontaneous applause.
