Ian steering the ship through the defy shutdown is honestly one of the most incredible things a creator has done. He just willed it to keep going when the easiest thing would’ve been just to let it fade.
Respect! he said he was feeling out of it to the point others were asking him if he was fine. It’s hard to be alone and having to run something like this and doing all of that while pretending you are ok for the sake of others. This is why the rest of the Smosh cast was so appreciative

I love Rhett and Link so much. They’re the supportive dads that just genuinely want them to succeed. As an OG smosh fan this announcement has been such a fever dream. I’m over the moon to be a part of this new chapter of Smosh.
My inner child just healed watching this. Thank you guys. I’m glad you’re still able to be friends after all that you’ve both been through and I look forward to seeing what you both do together. 🙂
Edit: here me out, SMOSH as a podcast would dominate. Just imagine the older viewers tuning in. You guys could basically talk about anything in terms of your friendship, comedy sketches, the defy company, YouTube back in the years compared to now and etc.
The announced in a recent video that the SmoshCast is coming back! They cancelled it a few years ago
This brings back so many memories of the saga that smosh has built. I’m so glad that their friendship has rekindled and isn’t just business sided. I got so emotional watching them talk, like a therapy session between both of them. Here’s to many years of bigger and better memories!! (also congrats on officially both owning the company back again)
