Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes | Teaser Trailer
Director Wes Ball breathes new life into the global, epic franchise set several generations in the future following Caesar’s reign, in which apes are the dominant species living harmoniously and humans have been reduced to living in the shadows. As a new tyrannical ape leader builds his empire, one young ape undertakes a harrowing journey that will cause him to question all that he has known about the past and to make choices that will define a future for apes and humans alike.
“Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” is directed by Wes Ball (the “Maze Runner” trilogy) and stars Owen Teague (“IT”), Freya Allan (“The Witcher”), Kevin Durand (Locke & Key”), Peter Macon (“Shameless”), and William H. Macy (“Fargo”). The screenplay is by Josh Friedman (“War of the Worlds”) and Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver (“Avatar: The Way of Water”) and Patrick Aison (“Prey”), based on characters created by Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver, and the producers are Wes Ball, Joe Hartwick, Jr. (“The Maze Runner”), Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, Jason Reed (“Mulan”), with Peter Chernin (the “Planet of the Apes” trilogy) and Jenno Topping (“Ford v. Ferrari”) serving as executive producers.
Looks like we are finally getting closer to the 1968 original timeline! Looks amazing!
All we need now are some astronauts to crash land for the follow up film 🚀
@m.shearerthat would be fantastic could perhaps even end that way with humans from another planet
@m.shearerYES! The first film referenced a blast off mission to Mars. Where’s my astronauts?
@A. Carter
They all tragically perished except one. He’s growing potatoes now 🥔
@Richard Robbins 🤣🤣🤣
Yes! The Planet of the Apes is a Top 10 franchise for me, can’t wait 😀
Hey i know you
Hey what if you do an explanation of the movies on one of your videos that seems kinda cool and you can make another one when the new movie come out
Hey tell it animated here from america under your country Canada 🇨🇦 ❤ 🇺🇸
finally get to tell the full story… animated
Seeing humans come to this in a franchise where we actually saw our world as it is now is disturbing and cool
Definitely the film I’m looking forward to most next year. I’m so glad they didn’t reboot the entire franchise, Andy Serkis and everyone involved in the previous movies had already created something truly special. Continuing the story years later with Cesar’s son was definitely the right move💯
in the description it says several generations later so I don’t think its his son
@Aaron BK Son, grandson, great grandson, doesn’t matter really. Just the fact that it’s a descendent of Andy Serkis’s Cesar and they aren’t just throwing the whole story they’ve built up until this point has me excited 🙂
@Aaron BKNope, it’s Caesar’s son, Cornelius.
@Matthew Mira ‘set several generations in the future following Caesar’s reign’ – that’s exactly what it says under the trailer
@matthewmira3265 deep. The Apes name is Noa, Cesar’s great great great great grandson
Can’t believe it’s been 7 years since War. Insane trilogy, have no idea if this will live up to those but I’ll be there regardless 🙏
From the trailer I feel like it’s gonna hold up to the first three. I might be wrong, but I hope I’m not.
6 years actually
there are no words to describe how hyped I am for this movie – when it opens in cinemas I will be going around with arms stretched shouting WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY
Weird
I have been a fan of this franchise since it got rebooted in 2011. I’m really hoping they put the same love and care into this as they did with the other trilogy.
I was a fan from watching the originals as a kid on Saturday morning TV. These latest movies do such a great job reimagining the setting and movies. There’s a real love of the originals in these movies.
same
Same 😊
@Jonathan Breeseokay boomer
@Marc M Zoomer says what?
I love that this franchise wasn’t rushed, and took it’s time to make a compelling story. Love it
I am beyond excited for this. The Planet of the Apes franchise has been the only series that has nailed expanding its lore through both the art of filmmaking and storytelling. The Reboot Trilogy is my favorite reboot/remake/requel/whatever-quel ever made. Plus all the POTA films (outside of the 2001 film) are fantastic in their own ways.
Can’t wait to see what’s next.
This looks AMAZING! I love how the apes are becoming more and more human like, it really opens up so many more character possibilities with them, akin to the original films (Planet, Beneath, and Battle), the original tv series, and the Tim Burton remake. The gorilla and that one ape at the end felt very Urko/Ursus like. Also the orangutan is already my favorite character so far. Hopefully this starts a new trilogy!
