    Thank you Serena Williams for all the great tennis matches, for always being yourself on and off the court, and for being the absolute best!! You are truly one of a kind! I got to watch you play both singles and doubles at the US Open several times and enjoyed every minute of it! You will be greatly missed! God bless you.

    Wow just think if she’d starting preparing sooner she may have won. She’s a phenomenal athlete and human being. Just think, this is what Serena accomplished at 40, going in and training at the last minute. 🙌🏽♥️🙌🏽

    “I wouldn’t be Serena if there wasn’t Venus so thank you Venus”. What a lovely tribute

      … and steroids too lol

    • Stephanie Stavropoulos says:

      WRONG! She wouldn’t be Serena if her dad hadn’t done what he did to her mom…3 times! {I think V/S have a little sister.}

    • ZEREEUSLY says:

      @Veganpotter Thevegan claiming she didn’t threaten someone with death, steroids, touting her daughter after she was caught cheating…. should I keep going?!

    • Veganpotter Thevegan says:

      @ZEREEUSLY why don’t you list her long list of lies? It’s pretty normal for older siblings to be responsible for their younger sibling’s success. Michael Jordan credits his less talented older brother for his success too.

    • Rodayne says:

      @ZEREEUSLY L, stay made hater

    her farewell is something that fills many of us with sadness, she says goodbye to this important sport, this tennis champion leaves a great legacy, thank you selena for all your achievements, for all the joy you gave us in this race may her life be full Good luck and keep going

  5. Ron Jones says:

    She finished strong. Very humble, classy, sweet farewell speech. She deserves everything she has.

    • Memories of Days Gone By says:

      Thank you for leaving. The scars you gave to the sport and your opponents will not be forgotten soon.

    What a career! I remember when she played against Steffi Graf in the Indian Wells Final in 1999.

  7. Marijo's Buhay Amerika says:

    I love the Williams sisters! Never had interest in tennis, until my husband showed me this GOAT. I started watching her when I was still pregnant with my child and now he’s 12 years-old. I am sad, but, everything must come to an end and she exited – gracefully! Tennis will never be same without you and no one can ever be SERENA! Hats off to you!!! Thank you, Serena! We love you!

  8. Chi Javier says:

    A real phenomenal player! Serena and Venus are templates for girls and women who aim to have a successful career in tennis and even other sports….grit and determination are the Williams’ middle names.

    • Seltaeb says:

      @Justin Fong because we are speaking about her, of course their are similar male players like Kyrgios but the screaming Williams & Sharapova were cheating by screaming away on every hit, which refs should have clamped down on. A grunt or wheeze is fine but not what these 3 did to tennis. Thank god it has gone now. She could barely acknowledge or shake hands when beaten. Terrible sportswomanship.

    • SmartClassySassy1 says:

      @Sid TheCookieThief 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Wishful thinking

    • Niggakilla Drew says:

      At least 1 of them was a female

  9. KTJ says:

    Very inspiring to many people. 25 years of her tennis career. Amazing!!!

    • Rob Johnson says:

       @Seltaeb she will be in the booth and that is when I won’t watch.

    • Veganpotter Thevegan says:

      @Seltaeb really? Pretty pathetic of those other players if that’s what made them lose to the Williams sisters

    • Seltaeb says:

      25 years of cheating as she & her sister screamed away to put off opponents hitting the ball. Goodbye I hope but 2023 I suspect we will have to go through this stage managed goodbye again.

    • Veganpotter Thevegan says:

      @Rob Johnson that’s always been true for champions. But I’m talking about actual sponsor money. You don’t get sponsorship for being hated. You get sponsorship because of your influence on people buying products you push. And Serena is wildly successful there

  10. Ranjeet says:

    One of the simplest, heartfelt and the best speech I’ve heard in recent times..You’ll be remembered Serena, for a long time. Thank you for the contribution & motivation you’ve given to generation of tennis players..
