Lyrics:
Oh, I’m sorry, sorry that you love me
Changed my mind up like it’s origami
Oh, I’m sorry, sorry that you love me
Changed my mind up like it’s origami

K-Kisses to my exes who don’t give a shit about me
Kisses, kisses to the next ones who think they can live without me
We make up, then we break up
Then they swear they’ll never call me
But I still keep their number and their necklace
Kisses to my exes

Happens every time, I don’t mean, mean to be cold, but that’s how I get
Oh
Me and my all my pride
Try to burn down every damn bridge anytime we can
And again

Imma, Imma, Imma
Wild ride that never stops
Imma, Imma, Imma
Hard case they can’t unlock
And I, and I swear
I care a lot, just not enough
Let’s just say
It is what it is and was what it was

K-Kisses to my exes who don’t give a shit about me
Kisses, kisses to the next ones who think they can live without me
We make up, then we break up
Then they swear they’ll never call me
But I still keep their number and their necklace
Kisses to my exes

Oh, I’m sorry, sorry that you love me
Changed my mind up like it’s origami
Oh, I’m sorry, sorry that you love me
Changed my mind up like it’s ori-

Say, say I wanna go, then then, I wanna leave
Make another promise that I can’t keep
I don’t ever know what I want
But that’s what you want
If you’re down, well then don’t blame me
Breaking it all before it starts
Making it all up in my head
But I just overshare about things I never meant

Imma, Imma, Imma
Wild ride that never stops
Imma, Imma, Imma
Hard case they can’t unlock
And I, and I swear
I care a lot, just not enough
Let’s just say
It is what it is and was what it was

K-Kisses to my exes who don’t give a shit about me
Kisses, kisses to the next ones who think they can live without me
We make up, then we break up
Then they swear they’ll never call me
But I still keep their number and their necklace
Kisses to my exes

Oh, I’m sorry, sorry that you love me
Changed my mind up like it’s origami
Oh, I’m sorry, sorry that you love me
Changed my mind up like it’s origami

Kisses to my exes, I know that I did you dirty
Little messed up, little selfish
We ain’t married, I ain’t 30
Yeah we hooked up, then we broke up
Then I said you really hurt me
But I still got your number and your necklace
Kisses to my exes

The ‘Dirrty’, ‘Slave 4 U’ and ‘Me Against The Music’ references in this are INSANE. She has a clear vision for this era. She said in an interview a few months ago that she was “in the zone” for new music. It’s very clear that she’s going for a 2000s pop vibe, like Britney Spears, Nelly Furtado, Fergie, and Gwen Stefani. This era is about to make her a main pop girl.

Its really interesting to see dirty, but in this generations style

    • Josh says:

Yeah, it’s so cool, and it’s 100% what pop has been missing over the last decade. Just to clarify though — I don’t hear any direct similarities to the songs mentioned. The speed she’s singing is kinda similar to ‘Me Against The Music’, but dancing in cowboy stalls that resemble a boxing ring (whilst wearing elbow pads, nearly no clothes, and being covered in body oil) is DEFINITELY a reference to the ‘Dirrty’ music video.

The back-shot of her walking down the hallway with sunlight pouring in, and sweaty people watching her walking slowly, is definitely a reference to the ‘Slave 4 U’ video.

Dancing around those wooden crates, with sunlight peaking through all the wooden slats, is definitely a reference to the ‘Me Against The Music’ music video.

So cool that she’s paying homage to that era. So, so cool. She’s definitely teasing the new sound of this album/era and what’s to come. I’m so excited for it.

    • Lets Mash It Up! says:

@Joshyeah the songs are in no way similar. But just with this era, the visuals and style my first thought this is so Britney, Dirrty etc coded. So that makes it even more interestig to see that style but with 2023 type music

    • Key- S says:

I knew I was seeing Christina and Brittany Spears’ references.

    • Josh says:

Yep! ‘Dirrty’ = the rodeo stalls being made to resemble a boxing ring. ‘Slave 4 U’ = her slow-motion walk down the hallway, with sweaty party-goers watching her. ‘Me Against The Music’ = sunlight peaking through all the wooden crates. I wonder if there’s more. Maybe people will pick up on some more after a few watches 🤔

  2. Wilber Danoff says:

I love how she incorporates her dance background into her music!. Tate McRae nunca decepciona .

  7. Jordan Graff says:

She’s so fucking bad ass! She IS a pop star. She has nothing to prove. She has it all.

    • Sadude13 says:

ummmm. SHe has a bigger team now, bigger writers, producers, more money is being pushed toward her. I love her, but lets not pretend there is not a huge machine behind her.

    • Kyy says:

@Sadude13whats your point exactly????She’s still bad ass and so talented..don’t try to discredit her

    • Andrea says:

I’m watching the video and I only see GOOD ass 😂

    • Regan Stewart says:

@Sadude13don’t be jealous cause she’s better than you, if you care to even look Tate writes pretty much every single song herself, she’s been doing it for 12 fkn years get a grip

    • ClamBloom says:

@Sadude13 You don’t love her, you are here throwing shade and then saving face by saying you love her. That’s how the industry works, artists get support from their labels, what’s new? I mean.. apart from your jealousy?

  8. Maria Gabriely. says:

VIREI FÃ DESSA DIVA!!!!!! você terá o reconhecimento que merece.

  9. allison says:

been here since her dancer days, so proud and happy that she’s finally getting the recognition she’s deserved for the longest time <3
