If anyone who deserves a comeback, it’s definitely Brendan Fraser. Dude is so talented and you can see he’s definitely passionate in his craft. It’s amazing that someone like Darren Aronofsky trusted what Fraser can do with his new movie. I cannot wait to see The Whale 🙌

  2. Blast22 says:

For those of you who don’t know: This movie recieved a standing ovation so poweful that it brought Brendan to tears. We must remember that even as he enters his “comeback”, he’s still recovering. We aren’t just witnessing cinema but a man’s execution of perserverance and self-esteem in the wake of marital abuse, depression, and sexual assault.

Edit: this comment was in support of Brendan and nobody else. Not about me, I’m not making any more money than you, I’m not getting paid to write this, you’re allowed to like what you like and not be a jerk about it. Sad that I have to write this. If you like this comment, I assume you support Brendan.

Ver a Freaser de vuelta es algo que nunca pensé que ocurriría, estoy agradecido de que haya sucedido 👏👏

  4. RJ Powell says:

I’m so happy for Brendan Fraser!!! Great to see him back on the big screen!!🙏🏾

  5. usarri says:

You know this movie is gonna hit us right in the feels very hard when the director of “Requiem For A Dream” and the talented Brendan Fraser are paired together in one film.

I don’t think I’ll be ready to cry. This is gonna be an amazing movie!

  6. Critical Fangirl says:

I am expecting to have a panic attack, to be traumatized, and to bawl my eyes out. But all in the best way. We are all rooting for you, Brendan Fraser.

  7. The Reel Enthusiast says:

Saw this film at a preview screening a month ago and I’m still reeling from it. It’s terrific. Brendan Fraser is bloody phenomenal – I can’t wait to see where this takes him.

    • The Reel Enthusiast says:

@MooseMan It’s definitely not a horror movie, no. It’s a drama through and through. It’s based on a play and in many ways comes off as a play put to screen. Despite dealing with hard subjects/themes it’s surprisingly heartfelt and frequently funny.

    • MooseMan says:

What is the genre? Is it a horror movie?

I’ve only heard of this movie a long time ago, great to finally see a trailer for this movie. So far I’ve head nothing but real acclaim for this movie, as well as Brendan Fraser’s performance. Really does look tragic yet uplifting at the same time. Won’t surprise me if Fraser gets nominated for an Oscar for this performance.

  9. Drewed says:

Watching my dad deal with becoming overweight and all the grieving and depression and social anxiety that has resulted from it, this movie hits really close to home for me. I don’t know if I can watch it with my father, but he will be on my mind when I see it, and I know my dad will watch it in his own time.

  10. Jason Stayton says:

Sobbing just watching the trailer. I am SO happy for Brendan. He deserves this comeback and so much more. For the longest time I felt like he deserved an apology for the way the media treated him for his weight gain over the years. But after the success of this film and after that standing ovation he received at the film festival; I felt like he got something better than an apology. He got all the love in the world. And he got his career back. And that’s all he ever wanted. WE LOVE YOU BRENDAN! And I personally cant wait to see what the future brings. ❤❤❤

    • Robert l says:

@Steve Sherman He was wearing a fat suit in the movie lol. And no fat people aren’t praised they are despised. Which is weird seeing most americans are overweight.

    • Steve Sherman says:

If you get fat enough, you are now special enough to be pitied and everyone will clap to virtue signal.

    • Robert l says:

it didnt show anything though lol, what are you crying about?
