I genuinely hope this deep dark 1.19 update is setting up for an entirely new dimension come 1.20. It would be amazing if the reinforced deepslate was in fact a portal frame, and the various skulk blocks and such were originally from their own dimension that we’ll get to explore someday. overall mojang has been doing amazing updates and really expanding minecraft playtime

If they’re doing a dimension, I would much rather prefer an End update first.

Getting tired of these revamps of biomes and little additions to the game and we ain’t getting the Aether apparently so this would set up for the next best thing and it only makes sense for it to be a portal.. KingBdogs said himself the monument thing served a purpose, and before you or anyone cries about the end needing an update no it doesn’t.. it’s meant to feel like a void it don’t need any biomes or anything else added to it

There’s already a Proximity Voice Chat mod (Simple Voice Chat) that exists for Fabric. Players can talk in-game, unaffected by mobs in the world.
Not sure if Minecraft can support voice chat affecting the game world but if possible, the authors can just update the mod and they just created a new layer of realism and horror.
Proximity chat AND Warden is just busted.
I’m envisioning some Quieit Place old guy in the woods scene ideas from this. You can basically recreate that entire scene with this.

Honestly a ground pound or a “pulse” of some sort that dislodges players from a higher platform would work around that and as an aoe attack as well
Tho I can see some kind of explosion or projectile
the reinforced deepslate is the new strongest block in the whole game, just below the bedrock, it’s supposed to be a block with explosion protection and it takes 82 seconds to break, and you can’t get it in survival even with silk touch
well, the block exists so… can it be a new block a certain half enderman can get?? (the fact that this is the first thing that came to my mind lmao)

@MRBTiger Seems like an area exclusive block, and that makes it all the more valuable. Some are wondering/hypothesizing if a future update will introduce a portal to a new dimension using these blocks as the portal frame.
Are you supposed to be able to craft it? Seems a bit useless otherwise.
The Warden isn’t a boss.
If you don’t clear out all the Shriekers, you’ll end up summoning the Warden over and over and over again.
With 500 health, you don’t want that.
That’s why they call it a Natural Disaster.
Let’s hope there’s more payoff than Swift Sneak for trekking the Deep Dark Ruins.
Maybe, eventually, we’ll see a Skulk Sparker.
And the Reinforced Deepslate will become a portal block.
But for now, that’s just a fantasy.

@DT Respawn Anchors are expensive, it’s difficult to find crying obsidian and even more the fact that you can’t craft it. End Crystals on the other hand is easier to find (if you have a farm prior to this, rather instantaneous access to end crystals)

To anyone who thinks that the Warden isn’t that OP after Philza ate a Notch Apple. Remember that a Notch Apple with Protection IV Netherite Armor makes you practically invincible. A Sharpness V Netherite Sword basically does next to no damage when combined with the regeneration, and resistance, from the Notch Apple and the Protection IV from the armor. While the Warden here is still taking off 2 hearts easily with each hit. Plus, I’m pretty sure you’re not gonna have a stack of Notch Apples in you inventory on your survival world. Just to some up his strength and resistance is unbelievably terrifying.
from the looks of things, a knock back sword would actually be viable if you wanted to scrap with one. It takes a fair amount of knockback and you have more reach: so if you’re careful you can keep him at bay.
Chug strength 2 just to make it go by faster, chug regen 2 for obvious reasons, maybe speed 2 just because he’s scary fast. Keep enderpearls on your hotbar, and if he hits you don’t take any chances, pearl away and heal.
You could *try* to use turtle master potions, regen 2, strength 2 and see if you can kill him before he kills you. 60% damage reduction on top of prot 4 netherite is extremely busted. But he does so much damage and has so much health that you might still die. Plus i dont know how eager I’d be to give myself slowness 4 against something that’s as fast as a truck and hits like one too.

When he stopped eating the apples to attack it, it nearly killed him again and he had to run away. Even if you did have a stack of god apples you’d still have to run or build up and away from it to stay alive, it’s clear that sneaking away and avoiding it is best way to deal with the Warden
I also noticed that they don’t give that much experience so yeah trying to kill them isn’t really worth it either

Even though it would make armor even more complicated I feel like they should add armor reinforcing by smelting like reinforced deep slate and combining it with netherite scrap or something, so then with reinforced armor the warden takes far more hits to kill you. That swift sneak enchantment will also be really good for bridging, especially in the nether and the end
@Conejito Rosada Yeah, but if it’s reinforced then it could also be applied to piglin brutes and blast protection since i’d imagine a strong mob hitting you like a blast. So like blast protection early on, but then if you want overall protection you could also get prot 4 and reinforced armor, cause as far as I know piglin brutes and withers still deal quite a bit of damage even in netherite armor. But it was just an idea lol
@Calpal It’s not even a specific situation when it’s for a SPECIFIC mob. Swift sneak is REALLY useful for building and just generally getting around, unlike reinforced armor would just be “Anti-Warden Armor” and nothing else to that, no other gameplay availability, just to avoid taking more damage which makes OTHER armors obsolete when they can already do the job nicely
@Conejito Rosada I guess so, but reinforced armor is for a specific situation, much like the already conceptualized swift sneak enchantment. A lot of things in minecraft are for specific situations or just for fun, and I feel like it’d be more fun exploring the abandoned cities with a little more protection towards the main threat in those structures/biomes
But that’s completely unnecessary and doesn’t offer much unique benefits like leather boots with powdered snow, Gold with Piglins. Only Iron, Diamond and Netherite follow that typically tier structure, even then Netherite isn’t that much better than diamond.
Having that would only make things unnecessarily complicated to just take less damage from a specific mob that you’re not even meant to fight
thats a cool idea but i saw somewhere that the only way to move it from its original place is with pistons, you cant silk touch it or mine it normally
