The extent of the damage is still unclear as many phone lines are down.

We heard the shock waves caused by this eruption today morning, on Jan 15th which is several hours afterward, as far as around Whitehorse, Yukon in Canada. The booming sound has reached Anchorage, Alaska and hit us too!

That was a bomb not a volcano. Satellites were spot on to catch footage I’m surprised there was even warnings but that’s just my thoughts and I have absolutely nothing to back my claims . I hope all those beautiful people are safe and the country gives them assistance . I still haven’t heard any politician including the president mention this yet, maybe I just missed it.

But be safe Tonga and all countries/states affected.
