Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom | Teaser

Don’t miss the full trailer this Thursday. #Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom – Only in theaters December 20.

Director James Wan and Aquaman himself, Jason Momoa—along with Patrick Wilson, Amber Heard, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Nicole Kidman—return in the sequel to the highest-grossing DC film of all time: “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.”

Having failed to defeat Aquaman the first time, Black Manta, still driven by the need to avenge his father’s death, will stop at nothing to take Aquaman down once and for all. This time Black Manta is more formidable than ever before, wielding the power of the mythic Black Trident, which unleashes an ancient and malevolent force. To defeat him, Aquaman will turn to his imprisoned brother Orm, the former King of Atlantis, to forge an unlikely alliance. Together, they must set aside their differences in order to protect their kingdom and save Aquaman’s family, and the world, from irreversible destruction.

All returning to the roles they originated, Jason Momoa plays Arthur Curry/Aquaman, now balancing his duties as both the King of Atlantis and a new father; Patrick Wilson is Orm, Aquaman’s half-brother and his nemesis, who must now step into a new role as his brother’s reluctant ally; Amber Heard is Mera, Atlantis’ Queen and mother of the heir to the throne; Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is Black Manta, committed more than ever to avenge his father’s death by destroying Aquaman, his family and Atlantis; and Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, a fierce leader and mother with the heart of a warrior. Also reprising their roles are Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus and Randall Park as Dr. Stephen Shin.

Directed by Wan, “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” is produced by Peter Safran, Wan and Rob Cowan. The executive producers are Galen Vaisman and Walter Hamada.

The screenplay is by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, from a story by James Wan & David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and Jason Momoa & Thomas Pa’a Sibbett, based on characters from DC, Aquaman created by Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger.

Joining Wan behind-the-camera is his sterling team of “Aquaman” artisans: director of photography Don Burgess (“The Conjuring 2”), production designer Bill Brzeski (“Jumanji: The Next Level”), editor Kirk Morri (“Furious 7”), composer Rupert Gregson-Williams (“Wonder Woman”) and music supervisor is Michelle Silverman (“Malignant”). Visual effects supervisor Nick Davis (“The Clash of the Titans” films, “The Dark Knight”) and costume designer Richard Sale (“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” “Ready Player One”) also join.

Warner Bros. Pictures Presents An Atomic Monster / A Peter Safran Production of A James Wan Film, “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,” set to open in theaters internationally beginning 20 December 2023 and in North America on December 20, 2023; it will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.

I hope Black Manta gets the screen time he deserves, especially with how perfectly they were able to translate him to live action.

  2. Jonathan Collins says:

I hope it works out for James Wan, the amount of reshoots this film got from the constant changing made to how the DCEU was moving forward was shocking!

  3. Uncle Ruckus says:

I wasn’t originally hyped until this trailer.
seeing Black Manta and watching him go into his comic roots and destroy Aquaman and every single thing he loves is perfection…

I will see this in theaters!

  4. Randinu & Indilu says:

Visual effects look stunning for a teaser. Let’s hope the trailer doesn’t disappoint.

  5. BradyCool says:

When I found out an Aquaman 2 was in production I thought it was a mistake WB were doing another one and I didn’t think it was going to be good. But after seeing this teaser there is some potential for the film. I hope this film does well like the 1st Aquaman critically and at the box office considering this is that last film for the DCEU and WB/DC have suffered a lot this year with the constant box office bombs from this year’s DC films.

    • Brandon Gainer says:

Just because they didn’t make much didn’t mean they were bad movies…flash was just bad cgi but a great movie and although I haven’t seen it I’ve heard good things about blue beetle

    • Sara Thomas says:

      @Brandon Gainer exactly
Bad cgi, horrible casting choice for Barry, but a good story and movie
Blue beetle is just fun and great

    • Jason King says:

Blue Beetle is the only decent DC film this year. I just hope Aquaman 2 can rivil it

    • SLAYER huh says:

Everything James Wan makes is great, I’m sure A2 will be no different, especially after seeing this trailer!!

    • Joshua Swanson says:

I’m almost convinced that there is a genuine DC boycott going on right now because are pissed about Gunn being in charge of DC (among other things). But for some reason, none of those people understands that a boycott won’t get them what they want, it will just tell WBD that DC is no longer a profitable brand and they won’t make more movies.

  6. Ethan P says:

I know the bts hasn’t been great for this movie…but that was a really good teaser! Can’t wait for the full trailer!

  7. Medalion says:

I really want this movie to do well…and obviously be good because I enjoyed the first Aquaman movie

    • Emmanuel Mvula says:

      Me too

    • Chuck Norris says:

It won’t be good. It comes out in December and you’re seeing a teaser trailer in September lol Warner Bros know it’s bad and have given only a tiny marketing budget because they know it’s going to get slammed in reviews and will lose money. That’s the only reason why a movie studio wouldn’t be getting behind an upcoming movie.

    • miss my mama says:

@Chuck Norris I wouldn’t trust Warner’ s judgement after the disaster that was the flash. As long as the CGI in this movie is good or as good as the first one, it will be the highest grossing DC movie of the year

    • Badut 587 says:

@Chuck Norris it can be good movie, but not with the profit because this movie has amber heard, except they cut her part

    • Nihilistic Oblivion says:

@miss my mama And if The Flash had good cgi it wouldn’t have failed?
No, it was because of Ezra and people won’t watch this because of Amber.

  8. MarquizeMUFASA says:

We finally about to get that rematch between Aquaman & Black Manta.

  9. Urban Horrors says:

I’d almost forgotten this was out there. It looks well worth the wait, though. This seems to take more advantage of Aquaman’s world. And that costume looks great!

  10. jsalith says:

Even though DCEU is ending, this teaser got me hyped for Aquaman 2
