for real this video is excellent, extremely positive on the game while still talking about the whole “play a real guitar” conversation. I cannot wait to see more people get their hands on Clone Hero because of this. And if you ever wanted to try this again but with a singing approach, I’d recommend YARG!

this makes me feel better as a musician who, throughout college, constantly had to force myself to do scales at risk of failing my lessons. scales suck, but what sucks more is how useful they are
Am I the only one that love learning new scales? To me it’s the same feeling you have in a video game when you unlock a new weapon or a new kit for your car, it unlocks new sonority in your playing.
Heck I should still learn my basic triads but not now, better noodle in lydian dominant over that G7 vamp for 3 hours straight.
