Honestly I haven’t logged in for like a week now, just being demotivated every day via different updates to not play. Which is really sad considering how much time I’ve sunk into D2 and D3 and really liked both.
Can’t say I’ve had the same experience with D4.
You guys make fantastic content no matter which game u cover. Maybe take a break off d4 for a bit or chill out and take it easy in d4.
They are to stubborn to change anything before S2 or S3 probably…too out of touch with the playerbase 😑😑😑

It’s actually terrifying that this dev team decided this was the best way to proceed.
They’re literally capable of bricking the entire game in one fell swoop. This just makes me want to find another game to put my limited playtime towards.
Baldurs gate 3 full game on August 4th. time to go do more family stuff with the kiddos till then.

The best thing we can do to send a message loud and clear to the devs is to not play season 1 at all (until fixed) and possibly, not play the game at all for a week. That will DEFINITELY get their attention!
After reading the patch notes, I don’t think I’ll be playing S1 at all.. PoE2 coming out 1 week after so rather check that out.

This video had the perfect tone. The line about using us is spot on. 10 years to create this game, and this is what we get. It’s shameful it took this long, and not every class has multiple builds for endgame.
d3 reskin w/o any of d3’s QOL. it’s a joke.
This patch is the perfect example of why you don’t rate the game so high when it clearly is lacking because you HOPE they improve things in the future.

Or, an example of why you don’t bombard game developers with complaints about very benign concerns 24/7 that only affect a very small percentage of players. So that when a bad patch ACTUALLY happens that affects everybody they will take our legitimate concerns more seriously.

Any game that has the slightest chance to receive updates, can be ruined any time. Rates should apply to versions of the game. Any new update should invalidate all effects on ratings for the new version.

Season 1 is going to give us all some much needed changes:
-80% less Players to combat Server Lag
-more time for Family
-no need to waste vacation Days when it launches
-diminished the will of players to level a second Character/ Build
-more space on your Hard disk
All in all, i truly appreciate Blizzard “LISTENING TO THE COMMUNITY” soooooo much (POE League next Month and Baldurs Gate 3 on the horizon are going to be the Final Nails in the Cofin Blizz has put this Game in, 100 %)

This is what happens when you have two game leads who spent years changing their mind about features and vision (except for “more edgy”), then after they got fired, their replacement *also* had no vision and half the devs quit, then they merged in a different studio and kept crunching for two years on the lopsided visionless mess the first two left behind. Check out the Washington Post article “‘Diablo IV’ developers work long hours, bracing for impending release” for the backstory. The execs felt that they needed to ship the game before their merger with Microsoft went through; it was not ready for launch and everyone knew it and they shipped it anyway.
Seems pretty obvious that the point of this patch was to ensure that anyone complaining about not being able to bring their main into the seasonal realm would be forced to engage in the seasonal content on a new character rather than continuing to enjoy the game as they had been since launch.
I think your right there not dumb they knew what the game was like they even buffed everyone to keep them playing at first now as you said they ruined it so you feel like your character is no good any more and have to go play seasons for the extras to compensate for it they should not update the eternal realm until after the season when those items will be added.
Alot of us will just stop playing I went out of my way to level a character to 100 I just don’t have the time to do it again and put my life on hold I was hoping I could just jump on every now and then and play my 100 maybe tweak a few things to progress higher in NM dungons now it’s like whats the point all my gear is messed up now with low rolls and 10 million gold per reroll so I can’t reroll the stats on them and I don’t have access to the items to make up for it. I don’t even feel like playing the game anymore I did enjoy it but sinking 300 hours into a character isn’t something I can do regularly and my current characters progression is now runied I feel encouraged now to stop playing this game for a year or so until theres better items in the game so I can continue the progression I started.
Joke’s on them, I can just go play D2.
