I like that they are being creative with the premise and ghosts in this movie. I was afraid that the Afterlife sequel would just be a rehash of what the previous movies did, but this looks surprisingly unique and original. This is how you do sequels to popular franchises, movie studios. Don’t just do the same things over and over again. Try new things while being respectful of what came before. Can’t wait!

    • Manuel Orozco says:

So tough to find good sequels these days! And trust me I remember Top Gun Maverick last year and it had enough to make up for having almost the same plot as the original.

    • Mr.Feather130 says:

That what’s makes me excited about Frozen Empire since they’re trying something brand new to the series with the Ghostbusters crew fighting off a threat that’s more dangerous than Gozer and Vigo

    • Ryan says:

This looks like every blockbuster movie released since 1995, what are you talking about?

    • Mark Cameron says:

@Mr.Feather130To be fair to either of those elements, they always attack them right when they have shown up, before they can truly gather any real anchor power. Vigo hadn’t even possessed the baby yet. This seems to be something that has been gaining power over time in a quiet corner and has come to bring the noise.

The ghostbusters franchise is in fantastic hands. Jason reitmen gets what makes the movies unique! His dad was a genius and thankfully it looks like he has learned from the best. Its a shame harold isnt alive to be apart but he got an amazin send off in afterlife. Let the gb franchise continue to flourish!

Love how this seems to be merging the original and new cast better, and has a very fresh new threat! So cool!

  3. Rommel Andaya says:

I love the team up of old and new characters!! So awesome to see the firehouse and of course Ecto-1 ripping the streets. Looking forward to the new villain.

  4. joekenorer says:

Really impressed with how they’ve done the new cast and tied it in with the old in the previous film, definitely going to see this one. Original Ghost Buster vibes all through these peoples work, I like it.

  5. MR Jack says:

Finally a new Ghostbusters movie that appears to bring the original cast back into action with more than just a cameo. Very excited to see what this is about. And glad its a new part of the story. I am sure there will be many callbacks to the original movies.

    • Stephen Patterson says:

I don’t even need any callbacks. Afterlife did more than enough of that. I’m ready for some new forward momentum with the Ghostbusters franchise. Everything doesn’t need to be dunked in nostalgia to be good

    • Adam Stevenson says:

Oh, it’s just another cameo. lol They’ll be in it for about 2 minutes. lol

    • Raphael Brown says:

@stephenpatterson8056 that what made afterlife so good in the first place its handing the touch to the new crew they can’t always rely on nostalgia forever it was great the first time but multiple times it will get ridiculous

    • Raphael Brown says:

@Redadamearth bruh the movie isn’t even out yet and your complaining about it now like dude who cares how long these are going to be in the movie the story is what matters the most

  6. Wiggz says:

Great to see the old cast getting more of a role in this.

  7. Plissken82 says:

I’m sooo excited! Beyond excited! Thank you to the cast and crew for keeping Ghostbusters going ♥️♥️ You have done Ivan Reitman proud 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

  8. Chase Slaughter says:

Paul Rudd’s reaction at the end is how I feel knowing this franchise is back where it belongs.

  9. Jonathan Layne-Gordon says:

i love seeing the Ghostbusters portrayed as straight up heroes saving the world :,D

    • diablojones says:

Which is weird as that was never Aykroyd’s intention. They were always supposed to be working class schlubs.

    • Jarrod Davis says:

“They were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Naturally, they became heroes.”

    • Jurassic Productions says:

@diablojonesTo be fair, the whole thing of Ghostbusters is about these unassuming blue collar schlubs being the underdogs and coming out on top. Afterlife was probably the only one that wasn’t just because it was more approached like a reunited band to give tribute to one of their one, but again, to be fair, it felt right to do so especially considering the “band member” they were honoring.

Now that that tribute concert is over, it’ll probably go back, or at least be a little more in between which I’m not complaining.

I thought this franchise had nothing left to deliver in cinema which would be a cliché but my friends, this film seems to be one of the best of 2024! It has amazing CGI, perfect cinematography and A luxury cast, I will be at the cinema watching this work of art in March.
