Look alive, foolish mortals! We’re dying for you to view our teaser trailer and poster for Disney’s comically creepy adventure “Haunted Mansion,” which will appear in theaters on July 28.

Directed by award-winning filmmaker Justin Simien, the film features an all-star ensemble cast including LaKeith Stanfield, Tiffany Haddish, Owen Wilson, Danny DeVito, Rosario Dawson, Chase W. Dillon and Dan Levy, with Jamie Lee Curtis and Jared Leto as The Hatbox Ghost.

Director Simien says, “As a lifelong fan of the Haunted Mansion attraction, I’m beyond excited to share the teaser trailer for our new film adaptation featuring an incredible cast. Our team has worked tirelessly to create a scary, funny and cinematic otherworldly adventure for both new and die-hard fans to enjoy! I can’t wait for audiences to experience this big screen version of the iconic Disney attraction.”

Inspired by the classic theme park attraction, “Haunted Mansion” is about a woman and her son who enlist a motley crew of so-called spiritual experts to help rid their home of supernatural squatters. The film’s producers are Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich, with Nick Reynolds and Tom Peitzman serving as executive producers.

This actually looks more promising than I expected it to be for an Live action remake. It’s giving me Disneyland vibes! Thanks Disney! Looking forward to it! 👻✨

  4. Ernesto Chacon says:

I’m keeping an optimistic mind with this film, although I’m a little saddened that Disney opted not using Guillermo del Toro’s script for the final film, the new Haunted Mansion film when compared to the 2003 version starring Eddie Murphy is going to be more frightening and capturing the tone and spirit of the original ride so very excited on seeing this in July.

    • Benito Gonzalez Jr. says:

@ZachMaster97 Are you a fan of Guillermo Del Toro, Zach?

    • ANIMALS AND LEGOS says:

@Ernesto Chacon well if it was a horror movie that was pg 13 everyone would be mad there’s no gore and the movie would do bad.

    • ZachMaster97 says:

He’s still attached to the project as executive producer

    • Ross Pit: Shark Hunter says:

@Aphotic Photon Still need to watch that, I was super excited for it when it came out, but every time I tried to watch it something else happened.

    • Aphotic Photon says:

@Ross Pit: Shark Hunter However….I like to think any ideas Del Toro had for haunted mansion went into Crimson peak

  5. Marcello Antonio says:

This already feels more like a haunted mansion movie than the first haunted mansion movie

@Maxwell Flores bro how much closer can u get, even the wall paper and the doors match

    • Raf says:

      @Maxwell Flores nah very close.

    • Maxwell Flores says:

      Not even close.

    • thelco1 (Deon) says:

Exactly. With the old movie, they just had completely different looking sets and characters from the ride, with little hints and references at the ride just so they could say it was a Haunted Mansion movie. But this one full on looks like the ride put directly into a movie! I cannot wait!!

  6. Jem.G says:

Okay I didn’t know what to expect but this looks both fun and scary and the cast is sure to deliver!

  7. Ryan McNeely says:

This actually looks really good. I didn’t think that Disney would ever do a horror movie

    • Keymora Cotton says:

@freakingweiner dnt forget they also did the black cauldron

    • Cosmina says:

You know this is a remake right?

    • Michael Comia says:

@freakingweiner, the Jack Clayton’s original vision of Something Wicked This Way Comes was darker but Bradbury felt it strayed to much from his vision as well as a certain line Disney didn’t risk crossing as to betray their family brand and values. We could have had something more akin to Clayton’s eerie black and white masterpiece “The Innocents” which tops Martin Scorsese’s list of best horror movies.

      me 2

  8. Joseph Souza says:

Ok for once in a long time, I’m actually excited to see something that Disney made. This definitely has a good dark vibe to it, but not being TOO scary for the children. It should be entertaining.

  9. Magic3Star says:

Finally! A Haunted Mansion movie featuring the Disneyland, Anaheim’s mansion, a horror vibe, and the Hatbox Ghost! And as a bonus, Owen Wilson and Danny DeVito are in it! I am so in! 🤩🥰

    • thelco1 (Deon) says:

@Victor Gonzalez It definitely has many a horror vibes… because it’s horror, lol. Just because something is family horror does not take away the genre.

    • Victor Gonzalez says:

There are no horror vibe in this new movie, because this is a family movie.

    • ItzAdrian says:

The original 2003 movie did technically have disneyland mansion but they combined the look of WDW & Disneylands together for that movie

    • Damus Ravenwood says:

      what do you mean “finally”?

  10. Rey Tunner says:

This blows the 2003 version out of the water by miles!! It has elements of the ride and they built on it and added more “horror.” Im so happy with this trailer 🥰
