Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor back together at long last. I can’t wait to see what happens!

  2. enigma says:

I hope we see Hayden Christensen’s face when he’s acting as Vader.

    • carterjmd says:

@geosword6 that’s exactly why he was directed to talk the way he did in the prequels. Most people chalk it up to bad acting but there was a purpose to why he spoke the way he did. It didn’t translate too well to a lot of people so maybe they should’ve went a different route

    • mikepette says:

wait wait wait…you want to see Hayden’s face as Vader ? No thats not going to work because Hayden doesn’t look like Vader he looks like Hayden.

    • milan cat says:

we will see when we see his other robot arm get put on maybe like scorched body or face but i don’t think we will see it much

    • Webbed Shadow says:

Vader only ever removes his helmet when he’s in his meditation chamber or a healing tank though I think? so maybe that’s when we could see Hayden Christensen

    • Briansgate says:

of course we will. Hollywood cant have it any other way. Even when their faces SHOULDNT be revealed, they do it anyway, because the movie stars have to have their faces on screen,.

Imagine how insanely powerful luke would have been if obi wan had been training him the whole time

    • Niallo 86 says:

@summoner2100 correct me if I’m wrong but Lucas “DID” at one time confirm Luke was the most powerful Jedi ever in his original canon and Palpitane was the most powerful sith. So if Lucas said it, then it’s gospel, I mean the guy created the whole thing. I’m not arguing what the characters became in the novels or expanded material, just purely from Lucas’ perspective.

    • Accountability Party for Human Rights says:

@Borz that is true, obi wan did have to take on a heavy responsibility young so I’ll always give him that leeway (also cause again I love his character) but I still believe Qui Gon would’ve been the better teacher overall for Anakin. To your point though if he is destined to always go to the dark side then sith Anakin with Qui Gon training truly might be even more OP

    • Matches_Malone says:

@summoner2100 Dude, if you want to quote George, Luke is the greatest Jedi that ever lived.

    • Borz says:

@Accountability Party for Human Rights you’re wrong, when obi wan trained anakin. He was too young and wasn’t even a master. This obi wan would’ve done a much better job. Honestly it wasn’t really that obi wan didn’t raise anakin well. Anakin would’ve fell to the darkside either way

    • summoner2100 says:

Luke isn’t powerful. It’s literally the basis of the character. He’s in no way stronger than his father. Never has been. The EU novels turned him into something he wasn’t which is why they were not, and were never going to be, canon. (And Lucas said that himself many times that if he ever did get to doing more then he would ignore the books)

    “Like you trained his father?”
That look on Obi Wans face. The guilt. The way it eats at him. Goosebumps.

I remember when they first announced that Hayden would be back as Anakin and I was hyped. Then I recently hear Ewan mentioning filming a scene with him and got confused. I wondered why they would have Obi-wan and Vader in a scene together before Episode 4. But now I’m thinking “Obi-wan probably thinks he left Anakin to die on Mustafar. Seeing Vader, he must know that it’s Anakin. So it makes sense when he tells Luke about how his father died.”

    • sniperguyAZ says:

he knew the darth vader name before mustafar it was easy for him to connect the master

  6. Airsoft Alfonse says:

“Like you trained his father” – ooof right in the feels 😭

  7. That_One_Guy_Named_Rami says:

This looks promising. Seeing Ewan McGregor come back is a huge nostalgia feeling.

  8. JustinC87 says:

Obi Wan was always my favorite character, and I know many have their complains about Haden as Anakin, but I really loved him too. Having these two get their own series just makes my day. I really hope we get more of the both of them in other storylines. I also hope we get to see some flashbacks and lava damaged views of Vader without the mask.

    • JustinC87 says:

@The Brave Guy Yeah, most of the criticism I ever heard was kinda nonsense. I remember some criticized the way he spoke, I never saw an issue, but I read he was trying to match what would eventually be the James Earl Jones cadence of Vader. There was actually some mythology behind it. But complainers are going to complain…

    • The Brave Guy says:

I think the main issue of him during the prequel era was that’s how the character was intended to be played. The Jedi kept expecting him to show no emotion pretty much at all times, and because of what happened with his mother and his tension with the Jedi council, the only emotion that the character was really allowed to let out was anger. Which most people looked at as bad acting. The romance with Padme didn’t help things, either.

But fortunately now, with Darth Vader being free of those Jedi rules about restraint and self control, I think we’ll have a much better performance here from Hayden coming back to the character.

    • Flaming Dasher says:

People don’t complain about hayden anymore, that was back when the prequels were released

  9. Darth Canic says:

This is already more exciting than everything contained in the sequel trilogy. This is what happens when you give the fans what they want and possibly do it correctly.

  10. Julia Red says:

When she yells “you can’t run obi wan, you can’t escape him” that gave me chills knowing the whole history and how Obi wan knows at the end he will eventually re meet his old friend again but it’s 100% different

    • gugvg says:

@Nightmare Don’t entertain them. They are saying it to get a reaction and we shouldn’t give them the satisfaction.

    • Nightmare says:

@Yung Murk that’s such a racist comment. Why can’t a black girl be a character?

    • Tha Mike says:

@Burntrubber399 Don’t give that thing attention bro. That’s what it feeds off of.
