How they hired McDoofus in the first place is only a question a genius like Mark Davis can answer.

  2. M M says:

As a Colts fan, I’m so glad that Jim Irsay nuked the McDaniels’ bathroom and scared Josh away from becoming our HC! We’ve had some rough years recently but I’m still grateful to have dodged the McDaniels bullet. After two abysmal failures, everybody pray that your team isn’t dumb enough to give this guy another chance at the top job 😂

  3. Frippertonics says:

GMs usually overstay their welcome by two or three seasons. Kudos to Davis for being decisive.

    • Sam Westing says:

Mark Davis is the REAL problem. We all know he won’t fire himself, & that’s fine w/the rest of the NFL. 😂

    • Blue Dun says:

@Sam WestingYes…the blame has to fall to some extent on the owner. He’s an eccentric like his dad, but doesn’t have the know-how like his father before his father became consumed by his own eccentricity and ego. With an owner like this expect nothing different unless at some point he rolls the dice and gets lucky on the right coach and GM.

  4. Joshua M says:

The difference with Dan Campbell and the Lions was his players believed in him, McDaniels will never get players to believe in him because he will just turn around and ship them off at a moments notice. More time for McDaniels would just waste the talent left on this roster and set the organization even further back, it is all about relationships with the players.

    • Marveryn says:

sound like the patriot way as am thinking of Bill O brian and him sending good players for peanuts and bringing in players for large contract that taken years to dump

    • Diana Yount says:

MCDC and GM have a plan/goal, Clearly working towards the goal. Dedicated to the players, team. Creating a culture. Awesome to be Detroit fan after all the suffering…

  5. Max Drats says:

I’m not even a Raiders fan and this made me strangely happy.

  6. TheAireaidLord says:

That opening line made me burst out laughing Rich you’re the man!

    • cbizkit707 says:

The look combined with the opening line. The look is where I lost it. Great opening.

    • Captain Sunday says:

Was it funny? I don’t get it.

    • TheAireaidLord says:

@Captain Sunday I’ll have someone else explain it because it’s so obvious I can’t lmao

    • R F says:

@Captain Sundayit wasn’t that funny just a usual remark about Vegas.

    • HHSGDFootballJPD says:

@Frip36 As a capital of gambling and a city of sin, someone could be pawning their gold watch so they could play a card table or roulette wheel one more time and try to recover all of the money they lost during the day.

Or they found a new friend that they want to ‘play’ with, and that comfort plus drinking leads to a quick decision to get married.

There’s a reason why there’s the slogan, “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.”

As a Broncos fan, the amount of schadenfreude I’m feeling right now will sustain me for a long time lol.

  8. Richard Covell says:

As a Broncos fan who watched McDaniels wreak havoc with them, seeing this repeat with the Raiders (despite the history between those two teams) is sad. They should have known better. I guess better late than never.

    • Steve Arnold says:

Problem is, he got rid of our QB and Waller. Plus I don’t think anyone wants to play for us anymore. We’re screwed for years to come I believe. Congrats on the KC win.

    • Matt Neumeyer says:

@Steve ArnoldMcDaniels ran out Cutler, Brandon Marshall, Tony Sheffler. He ruined a solid Denver team and did the same in LV. He’s a joke.

    • lightning shoop says:

He tried and did a bit. BUT at least he’s gone before he completely cleaned house. We still got some key peices

    • Smokalamota 258 says:

I live in Denver and that was a brutal time

  9. Dirty Randy says:

As a Josh Jacobs fantasy owner, this can only help me lol

    • FabioJ says:

How? Jacobs playing average, a worse playcaller is going to take over, and a terrible o-line (worst in the league)

    • Open Minded says:

@FabioJlast season Jacobs rushed for 220 and 3tds in a game, during the postgame press conference McDaniels said “that’s not the type of football we want to play” dude thinks he can outsmart the NFL by not running a top 5 running back. I wouldn’t be surprised if the interim coach decides to run the ball 30 times a game and the raiders end up making a run like Steve Wilkes did in Carolina.

    • blackyoshi1230 says:

@Open Minded – If that was the Seahawks game you were referring to where he popped off for that 75 yard score in OT (the one where Carr audibled into a run play on that look), oh boy.

    • FabioJ says:

@Open Minded Jacobs was a one season wonder. Bro will end up getting hurt if he averages 25+ carries a game.

    • D Mahoney says:

Great! I’m playing against Jacobs in fantasy this week 🤦🏽‍♂️

  10. Scott Pringle says:

Tom Brady will never say it because he is a Pro and a Gentleman. But dam he must feel validated on some deep level today. He meant so much more to the Patriots success than we can possible imagine. With each failure of the Pats coaching tree and BB floundering, its even more obvious, It was ALWAYS TB12!
