The Phoenix Suns defeat the Golden State Warriors, 108-104, and improve to 1-0 on the season. Devin Booker led the Suns with 32 points, 8 assists, and 6 rebounds as Kevin Durant (18 points, 10 rebounds) and Jusuf Nurkic (14 points, 14 rebounds) totaled 32 points. Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 27 points and 5 rebounds while Klay Thompson (15 points, 7 rebounds) and Chris Paul (14 points, 9 assists, 6 rebounds) combined for 29 points. The Warriors are now 0-1 on the year.
This year is peak of the talent in the nba. Never have I seen so many teams stacked evenly it is absolutely insane.

Nurkic is a really good addition to this Suns roster. He can stretch the floor by shooting the 3, he can facilitate the ball and he can rebound the ball and play solid defense.

yup.. the guy is more of an average player but why is it that he looks way more better than ayton?? from the moment ayton started playing in the NBA he never really impressed me but everyone really gives him alot of props for his potential.. but the problem is everyone has potential but not all can unleash it
@Tambay Logic Blazers fan here, Nurkic is like a roller coaster, some days he’s great, then the next game he has zero impact. Hopefully he can stay healthy this year, and stay in shape.
@Tambay LogicWhen Ayton isn’t getting easy looks at the rim, he is damn near non existent. Nurkic can struggle and still impact the game with hustle plays, rebounding and playmaking. Ayton literally does nothing if he isn’t getting easy layups. So while Ayton may be the better scorer, Nurkic is the better overall player. He is a much better fit in the Suns system next to Booker and KD. He compliments them much better.

I love Suns roster. Everyone is doing their part. So glad they let go of Ayton. It was a pain watching him play. Nurkic is a great addition. Praying for a healthy season!
They should’ve let Ayton go last season, but yeah it worked out for both suns franchise and Ayton since he clearly didn’t want to be there anymore.

Nurkic brought exactly what we needed Ayton to be…14 rebs 14 pts and anchored the defense nicely. His presence was felt in the paint. Got exposed on perimeter few times but there should have been quicker help. Okogie is playin with tons of confidence and energy could have a breakout bruce Brown type season..having gordon to help close gsmes down the stretch knocking down timely daggers is huge and a glaring hole last year.
Okogie is a name i DID NOT expect to hear that much of. Did Beal even play? R did he get hurt pre season?

Nurkic on the Warriors would have been nice but would blow up the salary cap.
He’s a defensive liability just in this clip point guards drove past him and scored at will. You also can’t run really any plays for him he scores mostly off of putbacks and 3 feet from the basket. At least with Ayton he could hit a 12 footer. I’ll take career 17ppg 10reb and 60% shooting over 12ppg 9reb and 50% shooting any day.

what I take away from this game is the Suns are very deep, KD went 7/22 and Grayson Allen and EG went 2/14 , Suns as a whole had 20 TOs and still won and one more thing NO BEAL good gritty win this team forreal!!

The Golden state Bricklers Lost to the biggest chokers in the NBA The Losenix Bums. Once again Chokeurry showing why Lebron is better than him in every way shape and form. Chokeurry showing why every kid in my neighborhood wears Lebron shoes instead of his. Curry will be crying on his knees by the end of the season begging Goat James to injury his teammates and Let him Win another chip and go easy on him because that’s the only way he’s ever been able to beat him. The NBA keeps trying to rig, it’s pretty clear the golden state warriors are frauds that can’t win without paying the refs 💵 it’s embarrassing that the league continues to allow this. But it’s okay because Lebron the GOAT will keep embarrassing Chokeurry just like he has all his career. No money No party.

It’s not really a rivalry between these two. We know that KD was the only one who carried Brickurry when he was still in the Warriors. It’s even better to fight the Damnuggets because it’s more challenging to destroy Chokic and sweep them in the playoffs like they did with the Fakers. Beal hasn’t played yet, so this isn’t the Suns’ real strength yet. One day the Nogets will be shouted around the world as The Suns daddy
