People say a 3pt shooting big man is great for spacing
Shaq says he was the best spacing big man, when he went to the rim 3 defenders moved and when he slammed it down 3 defenders fell…. that’s spacing.
But even then the whole premise of spacing is out of whack, a big man spacing so a guard can go up in the paint…. who are less successful in the paint anyways than a dominant big in traffic. I trust Shaq against 2 defenders at the rim than i trust Curry finishing a layup because Kevin looney stood on the perimeter.
the problem with bigs today is that the majority are trying to finish with a soft touch at the rim so there missing more in the paint, classic bigs just dunked the most efficient shot in the NBA.
@David Filipoviฤ #1 once Minnesota starts being good , check his career numbers and compare it to any active center , he’s less relevant cause Minnesota hasn’t been successful

@Michael Howard yeah I know, but you can see the evolution of the game in that little capsule. The 3pts line has become the bread and butter of the NBA.
We actually have all stars that compete in the 3pts contest. In fact, the greatest shooter of all time won was it last year or the year before?
The dunk contest is just a bunch of nobodys (no offense to them) that just badly recycle 15 years old dunks.
