@Gabriel Sierra you said most African teams came to the World Cup with much more fanfare than Morocco. I debunked that by noting that Morocco has by far the better league system when you compare the leagues in Ghana, Senegal, Cameroon …only Tunisia can equal them in league management and funding amongst the teams who qualified for this World Cup from Africa.

Therefore my point was to look at the underlining reason for their success because whereas Ghana and the others focused on players in the diaspora, the Moroccans added local players and those in the diaspora for a seamless blend of talent. They have performed well in the African Champions League and the various tournaments within Africa…you could see this from the Arab Cup, the African Cup, the African Champions league for clubs, the Confederation Cup for second tier teams…the CHAN….nations Cup…if you don’t know this…well now you know the reason I think Morocco is a more balanced team than most of the other African representation. One can say Senegal suffered because Mane injured …then that is relying on one individual. Morocco did well also firing the Bosnian coach. He was picking fights with individual players some of who are playing today because he was fired.

Can we talk about how clean Hakimi’s penalty was? He has the confidence to knock Spain out of the World Cup with a cheeky Panenka and just proves how valuable he is to Morocco. In my opinion, he is the best full back in the tournament and among the top in the world.
